Best Gameloft Game?

I vote for none. Gameloft is a joke. They either make bad ports/lisenced games or "originals" that are just shameful ripoffs of superior console games (Nova = Halo, GT Racing = Gran Turismo/Forza). Sure the games look ok, but that is IT. All style, no substance.

The iPhone will NOT be taken seriously as long as Gameloft is the major premium developer.

Not really. Game journalism outside of iPhone/mobile specific sites like TA, some Kotaku posts and a hidden section of IGN pays no attention to the iPhone. Like or not, game journalism and the the independent podcast/gaming community are major players in helping games gain support.

Outside of GTA: CTW, there are no serious top quality games that could seen on other major platforms. Major developers/publishers release cheap dumbed down ports. I think Gameloft and the trash they develop/publish is a major problem because their trash is put on a pedestal and displayed as an example of the iPhone can do.

I actually like Castle of Magic, one of the best platformers for the iPhone.

NOVA, GT Racing, Driver, Let's Golf and MC are good too.

 

Modern Combat.. at least until BIA 2 comes out. That thing got 8 people multiplayer!

They are all terrible and shameless rip-offs. Sandstorm is the only game worth playing multiple times because of the multiplayer. Even so, it's still Gameloft and therefore craptastic.

 

Dungeon Hunter is actually pretty cool.

 

i like skater nation because its not a clone of another iphone game. Its the only decent skateboarding game on the appstore

That means nothing. A game platform is worthless without games to back it up.

 

Really? i thought every one was over this but clearly not. If you dont like gameloft then go complain in the worst, not best gameloft game thread and dont buy their products. Im sure im not the only one over everyone bitching about this. And you think the fact they look good is all? well you clearly are wrong there

I'm not trying to start stuff, but state an opinion. If everyone wants to see the iPhone raise up in quality, it needs to begin by no longer accepting the mediocre trash Gameloft releases as the top quality on this platform. Put money and support behind GTA: CTW, which is a REAL quality game. Gameloft does NOTHING positive for this system.
