Final Fantastic Tactics (coming out soon) has an awesome storyline...if you can manage to keep track of all of the crazy politics and intrigue.
Funny, Apple have just changed one of their iTunes sections to 'Gripping Stories'. Games on the list: GTA, Monkey Island, Chaos Rings, Hector, Final Fantasy, 1112, Puzzle Quest, Zenonia, Broken Sword, Beneath a Steel Sky, Raven Sword, Pheonix Write and a few more. Might want to check it out.
Both gamebook adventures, but they are books so I don't know if thats fair game. All the premier point and click games (Broken Sword, Secret of monkey island, etc.), Phoenix Wright, GTA, and I actually like pro zombie soccers story too although is was short.
Well I don't share this opinion, for me the humor is boring, and if you remove it it's flat story. Yeah just my 2 cents, to pinpoint that not everybody agree and is forced to like.
Heroes Lore anyone? Love the fact that you can play the same storyline from two different perspectives.
Well it seems like the rest of this thread is from 2010,before the walking dead game existed but it is a good answer. That game is pretty good.
As far as story and twists are concerned, here are my picks... Chaos Rings 1, Omega & 2 arc Yesterday The Walking Dead Blood Roofs (probably the only runner game with a progressive story line the more you play it, and it's pretty good) Infinity Blade arc (including the book) Demons' Score (the more you play through the different difficulty levels the you get to very surprising twists) Ghost Trick NOVA arc FF 1 through 4, FFT and FFD Drakerider TWEWY Bastion
