Hey guys I'm looking for a fitness app for my iPod Touch 2g.
It is very important that I can track my exercises (repetitions, weight and additional informations) I do in the gym.
A history of all exercises would be also very great.

I checked "Gym Goal" (3,99€) and "iFitness" (1,59€) on iTunes.
Maybe someone already has the perfect fitness app but I couldn't find it so far :)

I have iFitness... It's really good, not perfect, but they are adding A LOT of content to it like bi-weekly or so. It has videos and trackers. The only thing it doesnt havve is a nutrition section. but it ssupposed to come in a future update.

iFitness is great. It needs wifi to show the videos so if you need them and you have an iTouch you might be out of luck with that.

Conversely Gym Goal downloads them all to your device. I tried out both of them and iFitness is easier to track and easier to make your own programs etc.

So my advice is iFitness cuz who really needs a how to video in the middle of the gym?

Thanks for the quick responses and iFitness sounds really good and the price is much lower than Gym Goal. I don't really care about the videos ;-), tracking is much more important.
I also really really like the weekly updates of iFitness which sounds promising :)

They aren't weekly, but they are pretty frequent and pretty regular

Yes like Pocket God, around one week to 10 or 15 days but that is really nice for a fitness app.
Alright I think I've heard enough and I will purchase iFitness but other opinions are also welcome

Just bought iFitness and trying to work out the best way to use it.

How do I plan a different workout for each day and then just tell the app that I have completed that workout on the relevant day?

Is this possible or do you just have to log your workout as you go?

Possibly haven't explained that too well. I want to be able to set the weight, reps, sets etc in advance, a different workout for Monday, Tuesday etc. This would mean I can see a list of exercises, sets, reps for that day, like you can see in the pre-defined routines list.

Then go into the app, bring up the workout, work through it and log it.

If I go into My Workouts, I can set a workout for each day, but this seems to just be to set which exercise. I don't seem to be able to set the detail without going into the log screen for that day and logging it.

I still don't think I am explaining it very well, but I hope you know what I mean :)

    iFitness Rock

    Another vote for iFitness.

I really enjoyed it. I create all my workouts. I track my weight and measures and you can add new exercises. Definitely worth the 2 bucks.
