I'm looking for a good casino craps game. Has anyone tried a few of the games out there and have a recommendation?

I already know how to play craps so a tutorial isn't necessary, but would be nice. Nice graphics and animation are a must.

I've tried a couple of them, but for some reason the one that I keep going back to is "Yo Craps". But I'm open to hear other people's thooughts as well.

Good thread, I was wondering the same thing.

  4. I have Yo Craps and it's pretty decent. Although I was tempted to look at that new Aw Craps that just came out.

I picked up Craps Deluxe which is on sale for $.99. I think I like it more then Yo Craps. The dice are smaller, but the caller is better. I'm enjoying it so far. I think you need the caller sounds in a craps game, otherwise I'm just rolling the dice over and over.

Aw Craps is a new one that came out recently and it is quite realistic! It seems to have all the vegas bets, and a flick-to-roll on a very accurate felt, as well as explanations of all the bets and odds. Try it out!

I have Casino Craps Pro and I really like it. It's customizable with backgrounds and it plays nice. I just wish there were some dice animations. Other than that it's great!

Yeah, I've played a few of the craps games, and there are some good ones. The one I keep playing is Craps Universit y. The dice rolling where you shake the phone and it sounds like dice shaking and then the dice roll down the table is fun. Each of the good games have pros and cons, but the nice thing is the best ones are 99 cents now.

Can you be more specific about the pros and cons of the games you have tried? Many thanks.

Here are the games that I have played in order of preference:

Craps Universit y you can shake the phone to roll the dice and they roll. It has variable game parameters (i.e. bank roll can be changed, max bet, max odds, min bet).
The other games don't have this. It also has lots of documentation for each bet and a tutorial mode. I usually play something called challenge mode where you have 250??? rolls to make as much money as you can.

Craps Deluxe has stickman calls, so thats nice. It has dice setting as well, but I don't know how it effects rolls. Plus I don't subscribe that stuff. When you roll the dice stay in place which I don't like. Also, the bankroll is limited and the chips are limited. There is not much in game info. It will display odds for each bet.

Casino Craps (haven't played the pro version) has a nice bright interface, but is even more limited than Craps Deluxe.

This is a cool site. I'm glad that I stumbled on it!

I'll have to try Craps Uni******* - but I love the stickman calls of Craps Deluxe. Craps without stickman calls is just sort of dullish. I don't mind the lack of real dice animation -anything other then a Motion X type of animation is a let down anyway.

I just bit the bullet and bought the 4 main craps games...

Craps Universit y, Aw Craps!, Casino Craps, and Craps Deluxe. Most were $1 except Aw Craps which was $2. I played each for about 5 minutes last night. Like IphoneFan says, each game has pros and cons. One game isn't really clearly head and shoulders above the rest.

I'll post my feedback later on when I get a chance. At work now and heading out of town for the weekend.

OK, here's my feedback on the 4 craps games I bought.

Aw Craps - My favorite of the bunch. Very nice layout and graphics. Love the flick to roll the dice. Could use a bit better dice animation, but it works for me. Very realistic betting. You put your chips down, and then you call the bet. This makes betting a bit more tedious, but I like it. I also like that it shows you exactly how much you won or lost on each roll. Provides good info on each bet and what the payouts are. This one is a keeper.

Craps Deluxe - My 2nd favorite. Has lots of options, such as the option to ask you if you want to press your place bets after you hit the number. The graphics are simplistic and the layout is very compact. It has stickman calls, which is nice. No dice animation, the numbers roll like a slot machine. I don't like that it doesn't show you how much you won or lost on each roll.

Casino Craps - Has the nicest graphics and layout. No real dice animation, more like a slot machine where the numbers spin. Displays very quickly how much you won or lost on a roll for each bet, but you can tap on your bankroll to see the total amount won or lost. This is a more simple version, for example you can only place bets on numbers, you cannot buy numbers. You can only place C & E bets, you cannot buy each individually.

Craps Uni******* - This was ok, more of a tutorial and beginners guide. It's a bit too tedious to place bets since each bet it defaults to a certain amount and you have to manually add or decrease. The graphics are a bit weak and the layout is very compact. Just doesn't have the visual appeal of either Aw Craps or Casino Craps. I do like how the dice roll down the table, but you don't control the roll, just tap the dice to roll. I hate the explosion sound it makes when you lost a bet. For some reason I just didn't like this one as much. Great for beginners.

Aw Craps just added an update where they have 50 stickman calls. The best game just got better. They only thing missing now is an option to press your bets.

Agree with some of the commentary from "cycler15". I have Craps Deluxe and Craps Uni*******. Of those two, I play Craps Deluxe and actually removed Craps Uni******* from my iPhone. I found the overall implementation in "Deluxe" was much better, and has been mentioned before, the stickman calls are an important feature. The betting options seem right to me, and there's some interactivity in there to remind you of certain bets (e.g., do you want bets working on the come out roll, etc). In "Uni*******", I just couldn't get into it with the lack of calls plus those goofy explosion sounds when you lose a bet; I find that to be dumb, annoying and not "professional" for this kind of app. It caused a near immediate "delete" after a short time playing.

I will keep an eye on "Aw Craps" and check that out when I get a chance.

EDIT: Why does this forum software asterisk out the word "U-N-I-V-E-R-S-I-T-Y"????

    My guess is that it is part of not letting you say A p p V e r s i t y.

I own all of them, I'm a big craps player and fan. The apps from best to worst(IMO)...
    1. Aw Craps
    2. Craps Deluxe(has totally acccurate dealer's voice)
    3. Craps Uni*******
    4. Yo Craps!
    5. Casino Craps Pro
    6. Craps
    7. Mini Craps

None of the craps apps in the store are horrible, they are all decent enough...but some are a little better.
