Knights Onrush, it's absolutely amazing. I didn't expect it to be very good but I bought it because everyone was saying how good it was, and they were right! Well worth it's $4.99 asking price. I also have StickWars and Defend Your Castle. StickWars is probably the better out of those two since it is getting frequent updates but Defend You Castle is also very polished.
I haven't played Archmage Defense yet but even if I did, I'm positive that I'd stick with my choice which is Knights Onrush. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is smooth and fun. The upgrades and magical elements elevate the game even further. Knights Onrush FTW.
Gonna have to go with Knights Onrush for this one as well. Such a fun great looking game. Can't say much that hasn't already been said about it
Knights Onrush is a bit slow for flicking in my opinion, you can't really flick them, you have to like pick them up, I donno it just seems slow. I vote Defend Your Castle.
I just bought Knights Onrush. First castle defense I've ever tried, but it's very fun! iI's nothing at all like tower defense (which some people think--but the defenses are all manual, that I've seen so far, not automatic). Although I enjoy TD as well. I can hardly imagine how people played this genre without a touchscreen! So the other CD games may be great, but I can say for sure that KO is worth the $4.99 and more. I'm sure you're right about the flick speed--I haven't tried Defend Your Castle so I can't compare. But you DO flick in KO, not just pick them up. I flick constantly. But I'm probably having to "flick harder" to make it happen. That might explain the slow feel you notice. I can see how needing less flick effort might be fun.
I will reiterate what most have said before me. Knights Onrush is the dogs danglies of CD games. If you have even a fleeting interest in them, this is the one to get. Having said that I can't speak for Archmage or DYC. Stickwars didn't set my world on fire. But KO is really really cool. The price is very justified.
