Can anyone tell me if there's any kind of a general 'consensus' as to which health and fitness app would be the best at keeping track of calories/fats/etc? IDEALLY it would also have the largest database of food to choose from (not just restaurant foods), and IDEALLY it would monitor other things like fat/etc, AND vitamis/nutrients. It seems they all allow creating of new food items for the user to keep track of, but it also seems some don't let you specify anything other than the amount of calories per serving... Anyway, long shot, but can anyone recommend anything. Thinking about trying to visualize what I eat, rather than just 'trusting' a gut instinct as to what's right/wrong. thanks.
Well, if you ask me, "Lose It!" is the best app for what you are looking for. http://www.theiphoneappreview.com/01/lose-it-iphone-weight-loss/
"Lose It" is good, and it's free, so that's why so many people love it. However, I much prefer Tap & Track: http://appshopper.com/link/tap-track. I've been using that app for about 8 months and love it, and it just keeps getting better with each update.
Checked them out, seems their price yoyo's as much as most people's diets... just noticed lose it has an optional nutrient section that allows for adding nutrient info when creating custom foods. this is normally off, and was exactly what i was looking for, so i think i'll stick with that for now. thanks for your input guys/gals.
