That is EXACTLY the opposite of what I was going to say. I love icons with transparent backgrounds, and hate the curve in the middle.

I like the icons of Sentinel 2, Siberian Strike, Star Defense, Orions and Snake Galaxy. I also think that ngmoco make absolutely great app icons. They are one of the few iPhone exclusive developers, and man do they make a good overall product. My favourite app icon though is Doom Resurrection. I think it's really smart to have the icon label as "Resurrection" below the Doom in the icon. I find good icon labels just as important as good icons, and I just got so annoyed with 7citiestd as an icon label that I deleted the game (I also had way too many TDs and 7 cities wasn't one of the better ones.) I also don't like icon labels like FlightControl. I prefer icon labels to be one word that's no more than 12 letters otherwise it make my springboard look cluttered and messy. Of course, I've gotten used to it overtime though. I used to use the "Rename" app from Cydia, but it messed up many things in 2.2.1 so I'm not using it for 3.0.

Nothing really comes to mind for me...maybe the Topple icons. I like the old Dropship and Sway icons too. Oh and 7 cities

Real Racing Field Runners iTunnel 3D (The last one only really works on a black background, that's why it looks so awesome on the actual iPhone screen) The original Rolando and the Dizzy Bees have great icons too.
