I've got a couple tech books with charts/graphics/etc. What I'm looking for is a good PDF reader with decent zooming capabilities that doesn't freeze the iphone everytime I try and move around.

What do you guys use? I've been using Stanza mostly but it can't display image-based PDF's. And I have a few PDF's that are basically scanned books so the entire document is image-based.

    Thanks

I use Air Sharing Pro. Here's their site: http://avatron.com/apps/feature-comparison-air-sharing-and-air-sharing-pro/. Its pretty expensive at 9.99 so you should do some research first if its exactly what you need.

I couldnt find a video that shows you how it works for large PDFs, but Ive been opening like 800 500 page PDFs with images all over the place and it could jump in to different parts of the PDF pretty quickly. The only downside is that the page might turn blank for a split second when you scroll to the next page. I have a feeling that it runs on a custom PDF engine that loads only the page that you are viewing in memory.

It is specifically designed to work well with large pdf's, and it does.
I downloaded an anatomy textbook, and it renders the images flawlessly!

Yeah... there is an icon on the bottom right of the page (its on the toolbar that auto hides unless you single tap on the screen) that brings up 3 options: Go To Page, Table of Contents, and Thumbnails.

Edit: Just checked that my PDF is only 500 pages. So the 800 I said earlier was exaggerating.

I would say that "Aji Annotate" is by far the best PDF reader in the store.

Let me dig up this old thread to also say: Good reader has been very good for all kinds of media especially PDFs and txt files.
