The thing that changes with time is that more and more games are ported to both iOS and Android. iOS gets worse over time and Android gets better over time, so in the end the ONLY reason to buy an iPad (in my opinion) is for the precious handful of iOS exclusive titles that are 'must play'.

The same thing held true for 360 vs. PS3. I bought a PS3, knowing full well that it was only for the dozen or so exclusive titles worth playing. Like it or not, if you removed cross ports from the formula the PS3 had no gaemz.

With framework engines like Unity almost taking over portable gaming, iOS exclusives are becoming fairly rare. The only reason I own an iPad still is because Foursaken will likely never code for anything but iOS. And yes, H&C as well as BF were reason enough all by themselves to own an iPad.

32 gig Mini Retina is the obvious purchase for anyone who NEEDS to buy an iPad, otherwise an iPad 2 still looks good and plays 99.999% of games perfectly.

If I were to pick up an Android tablet I think I would pick this up after hearing about it: http://www.archos.com/au/products/themed/gamepad2/index.html

However, I feel like with Android being so much more open than iOS, things such as controllers will most certainly not be as regulated as iOS -- it's more of a Wild West of an app store. I feel like if one goes with iOS there is a higher degree of security concerning things like controller support.

Also, as far as multiplayer and connectivity/social gaming is concerned, everyone around me uses Apple products exclusively (or nearly).

I'll probably end up getting a 32GB iPad Mini Retina and a good controller when a suitable one launches.
