    Right. Behind. You.
Canabalt all the way, with Hook Champ in close second (for many it's vice versa.) Canabalt is just awesome addicting retro-style but exciting gameplay. Hook Champ is colorful retro graphics in a complete modern game.

Pixel fighters is a very good RPG and instabuy at 99cents . You can even take picture of background and use it in your fights.
Hook champ is classic action game using hooking.

Why do you people constantly repeat the same titles? This thread is 3 pages long, and some of the games are mentioned like 10 times...

    My suggestions:

Frogatto - one of the best platformers out there
    Wild Frontier - great krpg
    Death Worm
Knights of the Phantom Castle (great strategy game, although it gets VERY challenging after the first levels, you have been warned)
100 Rogues - if you like roguelike games
    Blocks Mania - great puzzler
most of games from Donut Games
Mecho Wars - turn based strategy, great pixel art style
    Phoenix Spirit
    Skullpogo
    Space Monkey
    Time Geeks
eBoy FixPix - as some people mentioned
    Zombie Shock
Knight's Rush - it has a retro pixel graphics mode you can turn on, looks nice
Crimson Gem Saga - pixel art characters + hand-drawn backgrounds, don't know if it fits here
    Trace - very original game
    Airfox - River Raid returns!
8bit Games - Flying - retro feel all the way

That is most of the games I would reccomend, I'll add something new if it will be worth mentioning.

Incident isn't boring in the least. It's a great casual game.

It's 32-bit, but ash is definitely a great retro title.

Was going to create a new thread, but found this one in the search.

    I was wondering which ipad games you guys were enjoying at the moment that have a pixel art or 8bit graphics style. My favourites are;
    Superbrothers sword & sworcery
    Canabalt
    The incident
    Spike dislike
    Minotaur rescue
    8 bit basketball
Attack of the mutant sheep (msheep hd)

What ipad pixel games do you think are great?

I'm not sure what they look like on iPad but both Forget-Me-Not and Mos Speedrun deserve to be in this topic.

Back again with some more titles, because I love retro!

Atari's Greatest Hits: The best classic Atari game. As a bonus, you even get all the old manuals with the games!

Freeway: A 2600 game available for free that hasn't gotten much publicity.

Atlantis Invaders: That classic 2600 game, made by the same people who ported Freeway.

Super Mega Worm: An absolutely GORGEOUS pixel game that totally owns Death Worm.

Ash: as mentioned above, 32 -bit game with entirely 16-bit rpg awesomeness.

Hurdle Turtle: Cool 8-bit casual game with pretty good art.

Mega Man 2: The original and the best, in all its glory.

Radiant: Another great game that no one knows about, with what I consider the best retro graphics. Go pick it up!

Splatterhouse: Good arcade graphics and a solid beat-em up.

ZX Spectrum Elite Collection: Great emulator with tons of beautiful Spectrum games.

Commodore 64: See above, but replace the word Spectrum with Commodore.
