I'm absolutely loving it in general now - BUT the fact that you go back to the start of the level when you die might be just a bit too hardcore for me. I've died a few times and had to start again which has annoyed me - but I also think that it's because I'm not as keen on the minesweeper style sections as the match3.
Yeah, now that I've made some good progress, I'm stuck. I have several new folders open to me, but they all kick my ass, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something I need to do first or it really is that hard. I also got a map, but the instructions on it don't make sense, so once again I'm not sure if I just have to wait or I'm just not understanding its use.
this game is hard as nails. it's true. i just don't get it guys, why ALL games are trying to be so complicated. it's not fun and it's not cool anymore. Wayward Souls, etc. - ok, alright. but when every single game is trying to be so damn hard, i don't know. i have to delete it.
I adore this. Three folders in and it just keeps on giving. Yeah, it's a little overwhelming at times, but it's so beautifully done and really well realised that I can see me sticking with it for sometime to come. Scratches my puzzle itch in a big way. Superb.
I'm not a big fan of the gameplay (I'd like a little more match-3 in the match-3) but I give hella props for originality. I'd definitely recommend this to people that want a unique puzzle experience with a story and aren't that big on match-3 gameplay.
I honestly have never played a game like this. At first I was confused but that quickly went away and can't stop. It's so polished and unique. Glad to see others trying it and having the same experience.
Reviews of the PC version saying it get repetitive quickly. Repetition is implicit in the match-3 genre, so that makes me question how engaging the mechanics are.
What might make it feel repetitive is dying and having to restart a whole area again. There's a lot of variety otherwise, IMO.
Pay no attention to those reviews. All March 3 games, by nature, are repetitive. This is one of the best you'll find and certainly one of the most original. Once it clicks and starts to make sense, you won't want to put it down.
Man, the minesweeper part of the game is kicking my butt. I am at the point where the little guy is challenging me over and over to find the treasure...and I just feel as though I'm not getting the way it's supposed to be working at all! And I want to get back to the match three part. (Weeps silently into my cereal.)
So, thinking logically isn't working for me... Dang, and I used to pride myself on my Minesweeper prowess.
Surprised by how little traction this beauty got on the forums! I find it really excellent, and provides depth in spots that I thought Swap Sword was lacking
