Some idiot spilled beer all over the top half of my Ipod Touch. Is it possible that any leaked into the device?
Yes. Don;t turn it on, or turn the screen on. Put in a bag of dry rice for a day or two then sit it infront of a fan over night. And see if it works.
Some idiot??? Your iPod is probably drunk now... I would wipe it dry and then use the hairdryer to make it absolutely dry, and don't turn it on!
Yeah, but it isn't water. There's still the sugars and what not still in there. Apple might still accept it if the headphone jack didn't get beer in it. You said top half, so it should be fine.
Is it really necessary to return it though? Like I said, the beer only spilled over the top half, and it appears to be working.
just put it in a really hot place and wait a week and then put it in the computer and it should be oky. i hope you ipod is not druck and doesn't have a hangover
Dry rice. Works every time. Sugars might rust it if they have gotten inside but you are probably fine.
Damn I never thought about dry rice..I should have tried that for my mom's Touch. Although, I'm pretty confident in saying it still would have been more than likely screwed.
Get a food bag put some rice in and tie the bag and shake it, dont put a hairdryer on it your gunna melt the circuit if you do that.
