Looks like the budget version of Rogue Legacy. Plays the same. There are IAP's and seems that it can become free one day

Just bought it, not bad. Think the walking sound will get annoying after a while. Quite tough, being a rogue like game you can lose lots if you die. Only had a quick go, the first level seemed quite large. Not a bad rogue platformer at all.

    So far so good

i've read somwhere that it would have been free with IAP to unlock the full game or remove ads, but now i see that is premium + IAP, what is it for?

This looks so much like a Rogue Legacy rip-off with cheap looking visuals that I’m not sure I want to support it.

Anyone who has played both care to comment on that?

You can buy potions and gems. Usual priced ones and crazy priced ones. Hopefully won’t hit any paywalls. Upgraded a few skills

    Still enjoying it.

Being a long time gamer I see plenty of games constantly on the App Store which are ‘hmages’ Or take ideas from older games

As rogue legacy isn’t on iOS I’m happy theres this homage to it here

so it's more like a Tallowmere "brother", big, little or twin bro? ;)

It's a lot more like Rogue Legacy than Tallowmere. It has the skill tree, the pay all your money to enter, and the general vibe of RL. There aren't many enemies per room, but I've noticed based on the wall cannons that the difficulty is scaling up as I level up/upgrade my skill tree. Also, some enemies can one-hit kill you, so you can't just mindlessly hack and slash. I mentioned to the dev in the game article comments about the jump button needing to be able to be moved, since it's at an awkward position as it is (spell and jump need to be swapped in the standard layout), and it will be looked into. You earn more than enough gold for various upgrades if you manage to at least beat one stage. Currently, my upgrades range in price from a few hundred to 1000+ gold. Spend as much as you can, because you can't take it with you unless you do that one upgrade to lower the entry fee. Gems, which are likely the IAP currency though I've earned a couple in-game but don't remember how (chests?), can be used in lieu of gold. The artwork is hand drawn rather than pixel, and it's not bad per se. There is a delay to the attack that is noticeable but not detrimental. You can upgrade attack speed. Spells and skills are added at each completed level, but you only retain skill tree upgrades after death. You can save at the completion of each level. There's an option to turn off music, but the only discernible "music" during play is wind noises. I'm hoping to see more varied enemy types as I progress. It's worth $3.

But I wonder... this game can go free, because there are all kinds of IAP: diamonds for updates, potions for instaheal, chance to choose two talents at the end of the level, 2x earnings AND IAP for 3$(which is inactive, because the game is bought) that gives you power to dodge powerful magic called "ADS".

Mfi support is broken. Directional works, but jump uses the center menu button (steelserirs nimbus), and none of the other buttons work at all.

Really enjoying this. One reservation though, it badly needs either a custom button config or a layout with bigger/further apart buttons. Playing something like Cally’s Cave 4 then this, really highlights the sheer volume of avoidable deaths in this. So easy to slightly miss a button.
Other than that, good work dev.

Thanks! You are not the only one with that problem and we're improving the virtual controller. We want to let you choose the buttons size with a slider bar.

Also we're investigating the implementation of a full-customizable buttons layout, where you choose the position of each button.
