i want to see "bit pilot" up there? :O and mayby "the last rocket" and "Prisoner 84"? want to try those so, I hope for them but i seriously got almost all of those games. so nothing for me :/ will get Forget-Me-Not and "Gunman Clive" sins that about the only ones I dont have (and want)
These are the only one's that I've played from the list, but I can highly recommend all of them. they're great. if you were to only get one of those, then I would get World Of Goo.
Getting back on topic, this sale seems to be getting a lot of good press coverage, especially because of the multiple platforms, which is great exposure for all the indie devs. Among my own circle, I'm hearing a lot of comments like, "I didn't know that was by an independent!" and "I didn't know they made that for Steam/iOS/Android/etc. too!"
Yes, it's great opportunity for indie devs. I'm very happy that few of my games were accepted, to join the sale

Still no Gene Effect? I can't seem to find it on the App Store main/games charts, probably due to the price?
Ever think for one second that Lightstorm3D don't want to put Gene Effect on sale? Sheesh... what is everyone's obsession with this one in particular? The game is great, universal, has retina for the new iPad, doesn't have a single bit of IAP. Like Void said, support the developers... $5 is nothing. C'mon guys!
Tons more games have been added to the list! This is gonna be a fun, interesting and very expensive event!
Gene Effect is that sort of game which should never be on sale, it's just too good! Had more time with it and wow... Everyone asking why Gene Effect is not on the list are just insulting... That game is far too good to be on sale after what is it a month of lifetime in the App Store? Gosh it's 5$, not 50$. People in these forums are getting cheapier.
I'm really looking forward to this Friday when the sale kicks in, even more so than the usual weekly releases! There are a bunch I already know I'll be picking up but I'm also really excited about the rest of the games I haven't even heard of before. Hopefully I'll be snagging a few unknown gems too. If anyone has any recommendations for the lesser known titles, PLEASE let us know so they can get the recognition and we can get even more new games
While I definitely agree with everything you said, the problem isn't with people asking why it's not on the list... it's with people asking with it isn't on the list yet. It's like everyone's got this preconceived notion that it just has to go on sale. It's funny, because everyone's jumping on board the "Because We May" bandwagon, but no one's stopped to think that maybe Gene Effect isn't on sale because Lightstorm3D may NOT want it to be. The ironic thing is this whole thing is about the freedom of developers to price as they see fit, right? What freedom would Lightstorm3D have if they were forced to put Gene Effect on sale then?
Yeah, but the weird part is that if they're expecting it to go on sale and wanting it so badly and if they want it so badly, why even wait for a sale?! If you want to buy a game, you go buy it, no matter the price. Yeah in the end it comes down to the developer's choice and I really respect that Lightstorm3D doesn't want their game on sale. Or they'll do it later, which I really hope to not happen.
Most games go on sale because either they've been out for a while and their sales are lagging. Gene Effect hasn't been out for a very long and, hopefully, it's doing well enough with its current price tag because I'd love to see new content (even if it's IAP) or a sequel. It's that good. I wouldn't have a problem with it joining the sale ONLY if it helps the developer because the game deserves to be recognized. Either way it's WELL WORTH the $5 and I hate when people ask for a sale. If you want it, buy it. If you want to wait, well, that's your choice, but you may be waiting a long time and you'll be missing one of the best games on the App Store.
Seriously. It's like with Gameloft... you know (and you're stupid if you don't) that every one of their premium games is going to go down to $0.99 sooner than later. It happened with Modern Combat 3, N.O.V.A 2, etc. etc. etc. and N.O.V.A. 3 is next on the list. So tell me exactly why we've already gotten it? Because we want to play the frickin' game... not wait for 6 months to play it when we could've gotten it half a year ago for the price of a single fast food meal. We iOS gamers are so spoiled, it's not even funny. I'm with you here. I really don't want to see it go on sale, but if it does, at least it'll be on Lightstorm3D's terms... not on "O HAI, LET'S CONTACT THE DEVELOPERS AND PERSUADE THEM TO PUT THIS ON SALE BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING IT LOL~!"
