Some songs work fantastic and some have a billion added notes (and you have to wonder if it actually tracks the beat).

However I have found some good songs although, I reccommend playing all songs on hard as some songs when they get to crazy aren't like the real thing. It is catered for pop, so most of my rock/metal music doesn't work well.
These are fun though and the beats seem realistic:

    Rock 'n Roll Dream - AC/DC
    Infinite Dreams - Iron Maiden
Run To The Hills - Iron Maiden
    Exo-Politics - Muse
    Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden
(Don't Fear) The Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult

If anybody else knows any good rock/metal songs that work please list...

    (for the fans of nintendocore/metal)
    Can you try out:
Enter Shikari (songs: Juggernaut, Johnny Sniper, We Can Breathe in Space)
Sky Eats Airplane (songs: Giants in the Ocean, The Opposite Viewed in Real Time, Honest Hitchhikers)
both bands have really sick keyboard/electronica beats, so if BeatRider can pick it up, that would be fun.

If some of those songs work, Im definitely getting the game.

Amon Amarth - Death in Fire: Really hard! But got converted perfectly!

Atari Teenage Riot - PRESS: Gabber/Hardcore seems to be too fast for Beat Rider. 70% of the beats are missing. Setting the game to hard does not solve this issue - they then just add more combinations. Playing it in normal with note speed 4x works ok, because it gives you the frantic feeling of the song.

Bolt Thrower - Silent Demise: Whoa. Hard. Really hard. Conversion is ok. A little bit too much to do in the slower parts of the song, while the double bass parts are not frantic enough.

Heaven Shall Burn - Counterweight: Has problems with the fast double bass parts of the song, but creates nice working combination on them. Makes fun!

In Flames - Take this life: Hmm. The whole song is fast and complex and BeatRider seems to have problems to recognize the structure. Fast parts get less notes than slow parts, combinations of drums are mixed up and the notes often feel placed at the wrong drum.

Metallica - Creeping Death: Feels wrong. The song is too chaotic and fast for BeatRider to get the song structure right.

Metallica - For whom the Bell tolls (from the 1993 live album): Ok. Good in the most parts, but they sometimes have problems with drums vs. voice (live recording... and James yells stuff :) ) and then create other combinations as before.

Metallica - Wherever I May Roam: Perfect!

Prodigy - No Good: Perfect! And very, very hard!

The Gathering - Strange Machines: Perfect!

    Edit: Some more songs:

    Samael - Baphomet's Throne: Perfect!

    Machine Head - Imperium: Perfect!

Metallica - One: Perfect! Makes really fun!

Beastie Boys - No Sleep Till Brooklyn: Perfect!

    Edit 2: Even more songs:

Kataklysm - Road to Devastation: Perfect!

Tiamat - Whatever that hurts: Ok. A bit boring. Too much notes in the slow parts and too many in the faster parts.

Fear Factory - Cloning Technology (Replica): Not good. Which surprises me, since this is a remix and they created a great electronic/dance song out of the original Metal song.

Beatrider seems to have problems with fast songs, so Metalcore might fail. I tried Heaven Shall Burn and the result was playable, but not what I expected.

    If it helps.....

I put Welcome Home, The Suffering, and Ten Speed by C&Con and they all worked well, especially Welcome Home. It thought I was playing GH on the ipod.:D

    Also:
    I'm Yours-Jason Mraz
    Spaceman-The Killers
    I'm On a Boat-TLI
    Shake It-Metro Station
    Let There Be Rock-ACDC

    All work well

EDIT: Four Years by Senses Fail is F****** AMAZING!!! It is the most fun I've had on the game and on top of that my current favorite song.
