I bought BeatMaker when it first was released. If you're into beat making, it is the best thing since sliced bread. The developers even see fit to update every few months. Which is nice. It's a very capable piece of kit. You can make your own beat pads with free downloadable software, even. It's a great, great app.

At first, you might be a little put off by the seemingly complicated mess of it all, but give it some time and you'll really come to appreciate it. BUY!

Be patient with it and have fun.

Yep, definitely worth the 20 dollars. I got it back in December and have made a ton of great beats. And this is compng from someone who had no prior experience with making beats

Beatmaker is not a game, but it's worth the money.

Beatmaker is brilliant! I use it in conjunction with Noise.io to sequence full synth tracks on the go. Best two music apps I ever bought (excluding ocarina).
    :D

I'd say for $20, this app is already on sale. It blows my mind I have software like this running on my phone. You don't even have to know how to play music to be able to bust out a sick beat. Get It!

Just to chime in, I agree with everyone else here. It's a superb piece of tech. The only down side is that there's a learning curve, but isn't that true of anything good and worth your while?

BeatMaker and Noise.io are two of the most powerful and awesome apps for iPhotchs. Show me any other smartphone or minicomputer/console that is capable of doing things like this... Absolutely outstanding! Studio quality, no game, no toy.

The only thing is that you have only analogue out for live gigs but it's okay with AV cable or docking station.

on the reviews in the us store its highly valued but there are big gaps between them

ie July 2008 and April 2009

I'm sure not everyone leaves a review but i suspect if they did have a sale or were a bit more flexible on the price they would sell a lot more !

    eg 10 copies @ 19.99 = 199.00
50 copies @ 9.99 .....well do the maths
