No clue what's going on man. I still have about a third to finish and I'm almost certain it's the App Store like you said. I'm really glad Lara Croft GO hasn't shown up yet since I can download Ski Safari 2 over 3G and worry about Lara later. Stupid shit man...100 MBs takes 4 hours? News to me. inb4downloadfailsatthelastsecond
So ladies and gentlemen let me do you all a favor. Make sure you COMPLETE the tutorial. Don't skip it! You won't understand why at first. But believe me. Don't skip it. When you find out why just reply with haha I'm really liking this game. You can tell the game has a lot of the personalities of the developers. They must have had a ball making this game. I'd definitely love to hang out and drink a few beers with them. I checked and I don't see any other projects on the AppStore. I simply cannot believe this is their first game! Billy
What kind of world do we live in where a game like this, with no IAPs, is being sold for a dollar? This thing is easily worth a fiver, minimum. Just hilarious stuff, flawless controls, great bullet patterns and music in sync. Brilliant stuff. Brilliant. Puts most of the shmups on iOS to shame.
So, I'm guessing you all like this game? Haha. Buying now. I was very interested as soon as I saw this this morning, before reading your impressions, but sounds like I'd be a stupid jerk not to buy it now.
The pixel art, music, humor, controls, upgrades... this is way more than I expected. Where did it come from? IDK, but it better get some downloads. People will be seriously missing out if they don't check this out. Totally agree with MC about the price. You don't see many games that are $0.99 and THATS IT. No IAP, ads, whatever. This is one of those games that just makes you happy when you play it. Put on some nice headphones and enjoy. Game Center is acting funky, not showing scores or friends who played. Not sure if it's a GC thing or what. In this case I don't even care. Beat da Beat is so crazy awesome!
This forum is awesome. I never would have found this game without you all commenting on it. I'm not that into bullet hell, but the humor and polish in this is great. I feel like I might actually get through this (on baby mode, of course!) And I agree, don't skip the tutorial!
About OST Hello! We'll publish the soundtrack a little later and update you about it. Glad to hear you like the music) Sergey Nekki
We're Nekki, creator of projects like Shadow Fight 2 and Vector. Those projects have more than 80 million installs each. Those are our in-house developments. Having established a strong position in the mobile market, we opened up for the direction called Nekki Indie, which has the task to support indie teams, funding them and launching their games. Beat Da Beat, being published by Nekki Indie - is the first of those games - has been created by two guys from Izhevsk. We met them at the finals of the Comiccon GamesJam competition where they won Sergey Nekki
Thanks! We wanted the game truely to be accessible and went for a pricing that makes it possible to be learned from anybody who wishes to, while we leave the option open to transform it into a F2P product, because the game was supposed to be a paid one. Sregey Nekki
Damn. This game is just awesome! The controls are good and the soundtrack is amazing i hope the creators create more games like this!
Been wondering what they were up to with this new kind of design ... I guess this isn't as it shoud be? Menus etc. are all ok.
