BOYCOTT KUMOBIUS!!! (read why): Naming a Mexican video game character "Bean" is blatantly racist. Bean is a derogatory racial slur for "Mexican." It is short for "beaner." This is the same as having an African video game character named "Nig." The advertisement in the App Store even has a screen shot that says, "Are you bean enough." If the character were African, that would be like asking, "Are you nig enough?" Trying to sneak a racial slur into a game that both adults and children play, teaches people to think/say "Bean" when they see something Mexican like a sombrero. How is that different than teaching people to think/say "Nig" when they see a watermelon? Think of the children! We should not endorse mean-spirited language to our children. "Bean" - used like this game uses it - is just another bad word. Using traditional bad words (we all know what they are) is illegal for much children's media. Don't support it by buying this game.
Bean's Quest is a light hearted tribute to Mexican culture. You've got the trappings of a classic video game love story put together with nothing but respect. That, and like dsigns aptly noted, you're a Mexican jumping bean on a quest. There's nothing at all offensive about Bean's Quest.
