Ignoring the pure hyperbole of the above quote, I was not trying to say that every premium game should be bought without a thought. Nor was I saying that because the game is premium the developers should be supported without a second thought. I also was not saying that because a game is free to play it should be ignored on that basis alone. There great free to play games and great premium games out there, and thousands and thousands of total crap games that fall into both pay models. The original commentor said "this is exactly the type of game/stuff that I love". But then quickly followed up by saying that he needed more commenters to "sell" him on the game. My only point was that if this is exactly the type of game that he loves, and it looked good, then he might want to drop the four dollars and try it out for himself. I don't go into a store and buy everything that is under $10 just because the price tag is under $10. But if I go into a store and see a new item that is exactly the type of something that I love, and it is relatively inexpensive, then I do often try it. It's how I find new things that meet or exceed my expectations. It's also how I find some really crappy things.
Commanders! Battlestation: Harbinger is featured in the Best New Games in the Apple App Store! And to add to the ridiculousness we are featured in Google Play as well! This Admiral is now so excited that his heart might be under too much pressure. Hopefully the update will be reviewed soon by Apple, we have already submitted it for approval. This is one awesome day I must say.
Awesome idea! I have started a thread in our own forums, you can post all kinds of feature requests there. Let us know what you would like, we will listen: http://battlestation.fi/forums/forum/battlestation-harbinger/ You are of course free to post them here as well, I will scribble them down
hi. thanks for the previous answers. new ones. when i have two ships, when i click on my main ship, there's an icon to the right of it. i can click it green or leave it white. what does it mean? also how do i group my ships together again so one coordinate moves them both?
You mean the ones seen above? Those would be your fighter squadrons. Green means attack this ship, white means withdraw. If you click one on your own ship it means that the fighters will return inside the hangar of your ship. Your ships group together automatically when you fly to a next sector. You cannot group them together in a sector where you have broken formation. But when you fly to the next one they are grouped up again.
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Excellent commentary and game play in this one! Got into some very interesting situations there.
You know what ? I played 5 games until I realised you can buy reinforcements ... Game is almost too easy if you mass missiles and nukes on 3 ships. Also I only realised now that you can retreat anytime without penalty ...
Might have to wave around the nerf wand there! If you retreat from a fight sometimes the enemies will follow you, so it is not quite without penalty in that sense.
One of my big ideas is probably adding randomly spawning heavily protected ship that contains good loot but as soon as it spawns there is a chance that when you get there you'll find nothing or the ship will be attacked by the Troglars or pirates. Might as well add miniguns as one of the main guns into the game this masterpiece. But of course only if you guys got enough cash for updating.
This reminds me of the space game Hunted Cow did but way more fleshed out and polished. I'd like to add to the vote for slightly faster ship movement.
I knew this reminded me of something! Thanks for that. And yeah, a little nudge for the spaceships wouldn't hurt.
No problem! I wondered if anyone else would remember that game. # Edit: Pyramus is the name! Now I feel better! Pyramus by Hunted Cow Studios Ltd. https://appsto.re/us/ldtJH.i
Yes their first one was a cool little game too, JCho133 Battlestation - First Contact by Bugbyte https://appsto.re/us/lwq72.i
Fantastic game Great game....a bit like Gratuitous Space Battles but you can control the ships lol. Just spent four hours on a plane playing this (noise cancelling headphones were overkill for the 'pew-pew sound effects though lol)...well worth the money. Can someone fix the map on the iPad Air please (won't let you scroll to the top)...thanks in advance.
I think it's important to note that it's just the ship speed and not the game itself. I think being able to avoid missles with smart maneuvers would be cool and also being able to fire missles yourself at a set course would be rad.
Hey Admiral. I just lost all of my progress (=unlocked ships and highscores) when I tried to hit pause 3 times (I believe it was during a jump between stars) and the game and the game crashed. Only music off option remained
