Finally finished hard difficulty. Deathray OP, perhaps? Once they started dropping, last level was almost too easy. Want more! Great game!
A little annoyed, been working hard, refining my strategy, making my way through the rankings, finally reached #1 on the Hard leaderboard, beating top score by a wide margin. Login today, not only am I no longer ranked #1, but no longer ranked at all, but for some reason the previous leader is back on top. Do devs have the ability to manipulate Game Center ranks? Did I do something in the game to invalidate my score?
Unfortunately the leaderboard doesn't really work, it is capped at 10 000 and there is no way to change that without just removing the whole leaderboard and creating a new one. We made a mistake when we created the leaderboard, we thought 10 000 would be more than enough to cap it (Prevent hackers from posting ridiculous scores), but yeah it was nowhere near enough You can post your score here if you want to: http://battlestation.fi/forums/topic/battlestation-harbinger-over-10k-score-boasts/ Sorry about this!
Will the game track top scores, no matter how high, locally at least? As one of the many iOS 9 users locked out of GC, I hope this won't mess with my local score tracking.
I just picked up this game and its very fun and well-made. If you like rogue-likes in space this is a must-have.
Bill Gates also thought at the very beginning that with a few KB it would be more than enough memory for all the human needs with computers...
Thanks for the reply. i litterally had a perfect game. Getting my score bumped was demoralizing enough to make me not want to play, but now that you explain it, I'm back in the saddle.

Finally finished a game on hard. A few things I discovered: 1) Most of the forum tips/strategies I've seen are outdated. e.g. The 4/5 particle canons is an utterly useless strategy since the latest updates. 2) you can buy really interesting weapons from battle stations, but they cost scrap and the green currency. 3) the armada capital ship is actually very effective if you can stick out a slow start. 4) No Point Defense is 100% effective, and neither should it be. They do, however, take down a certain percentage of missiles, which is often the difference between life and death. I ended up with a death ray, a shield drainer, and a bunch of lasers/plasma weapons on all three ships. But even before I had death rays, celestial ion cannons mega cannons etc were ridiculously effective. Might try a run with carriers next.
I will now talk about why core games fail on mobile for just over 30 minutes Just found out about these videos by Total Biscuit. I will now talk about why core games fail on mobile for just over 30 minutes He used Battlestation Harbinger as one example. And then he plays the PC version and states why it is better on PC: WTF Is... - Battlestation: Harbinger ? Just wondering what the TA community thinks about this.
Awesome stuff, the new ships look great. Love all the love this game is getting. And the game speed toggle is a GODSEND. How's it performing for you guys sales-wise on PC?
