Except many paying customers avoid free with IAP games like the plague so you would reduce both piracy and revenue.
Oh well..then I have no idea what to do,the only way to do that is to take down these sites but ain't nobody got time for that...
Yeah. Piracy is here to stay and as someone stated many of the players pirating our game probably wouldn't have purchased it in the end. But some of them might and even that 10% can be very important to a small studio! Hopefully that newest update hits the store tomorrow or the day after.
Great Game Just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying this game. True, the UI is a bit confusing, but it's great to see Geezer so active on this thread and responding to questions and concerns. Some pointers I've learned through playing over the past few days: - every bit of scrap is needed to build your fleet. Unless you are in a very remote corner of the map, only repair at star bases. - if the battle is getting tough, GTFO. Try and have a clear escape route back to a starbase. Newer ships in your fleet that aren't yet fully outfitted are pretty vulnerable. Watch those hull indicators (use pause a lot) and if a ship is about to pop, warp out. Enemies can chase you, so a multipoint warp through clear sectors will save that 3250 scrap ship you warped in a turn ago. - play the waiting game. The hourglass on the starmap allows the enemies to move while you stay put. That formation of 3 enemy capital ships that would crush you may break up, sending one of its number to another sector. In this way, you can avoid the really tough fights while staying in a good position (a clear path back to starbase) while building your scrap pile for fleet expansion. This is the kind of game I've been waiting for on iOS. Looking forward to future updates.
Firstly, I think you should stop acting like an 'Internet tough guy', it does not make you sound manly, just annoying. Secondly, almost none of these guys would have paid the game, they pirate because they do not want to pay the game, there is no way to force people to buy your product ... This game was good, I did not regret buying it.
Very good idea! Thanks! But after reading the other opinions on this strategy, maybe it isn't such a good idea.
Even though the pirates wouldn't have bought my game, I wouldn't want the cheap little shits enjoying the results of my sweat for free.
So, can you tell us about future upgrade ? What did you guys planning with this Harbinger game (not all these Battlestation games)
Said it earlier in the thread but not sure if it got buried: Any way we could get support for listening to our own music while playing?
Ok! Hopefully the fix that fixes iPhone 6 does it for 5S as well. Report back here if it doesn't, we will take care of it. The new update should be live very soon now.
We are planning some new content to Harbinger. We have listened pretty closely to our players and we will pick the most wanted ones first But it also depends on which features are viable to implement, some take a ton of time so. But stay tuned! We have some good things coming.
You mean a music player in the game, from where you could choose your own music on your device? Does this tip here work for you: https://www.reddit.com/r/ios/comments/3hk4tw/is_it_possible_to_listen_to_music_and_play_games/ Look at the last comments there.
That said. I did buy the game and even with the bugs (which have already or will be fixed) the game is high quality and 1st class!
Yes, I've tried that but I find that your game will shut off my music and play its own no matter what I try
Ahh, it must be the game engine we are using. It is not something we can turn our resources towards right now I'm afraid.
Are you not using the Apple developer iOS simulator to show the various device screens? It can't do all testing but it does support this basic functionality. https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/IDEs/Conceptual/iOS_Simulator_Guide/
This game has great potential and has elements of many things I look for in a space based RTS. Was a big fan of MOO2 and HomeWorld and this really hits the spot. It may not be as grand and epic but it is a great start, and thanks for listening to us and making those fixes and improvements so quickly.
