I can't figure it out for the life of me, but what exactly is the difference between the 4 Red cargo sections and the 4 Green cargo sections? They seem to serve the same functions
Red - when you put your items in the red cargo section they appear in the sector and not inside of your ship (so other ships of yours can pick it up) Green - when you put your items in the green cargo section they appear inside of your single ship, that's it.
Feature Requests It would be nice to be able to move a weapon (or whatever) module from one ship to another. e.g. buy a new ship and move one of my guns from my main ship to the new one. (maybe you can do this and I just don't know how) More detailed view of the ships when selecting your main (initial) ship and reinforcements. Right now it just shows the red turrets visually not the blue while the carrier slot is denoted in the name. You could use the ship's upgrade screen graphic (that shows all the colored slots) below the (currently shown) ship specs in the reinforcement/start game screen. An option to turn off the intro geezer text as it isn't really needed for repeat plays. On the first turn, you should be able to sell back things at full price to make it easier to play around with the initial ship load out. The upgrade screen should show your current hull/shield numbers in addition to the if you weren't damaged and upgrade potential numbers. I have to guestimate how damaged my hull is off of the line under the ship relative to how long I remember it being before currently. Game Qs What happens if you don't accept the initial "secret" mission? I mean you can click no, but then how do you leave the map? Do enemy ship explosions or your own nuke explosions hurt you if too close? I can't tell.
Two more feature requests: Something to denote the firing arcs of the blue turret slots. (I just tried a ship where the two of the slots on the front of the ship are really aiming to the sides and that should be known before buying weapons). Some type of warning about how much time you will spend playing this game. It's really consuming large chunks of my day.
Yes. You can see the different spaces to the left in the ship inventory. The lower is what is lying out in space and the upper is your cargo bay.
Yes. We are thinking about different options. Once we get the game in a stable state on both iOS and Android we can start focusing on content. Regarding the speed we are thinking about an engine module that can be upgraded.
Sales are going pretty good! It's just so hard to say if it will stay like this yet, if it does then we are saved for now and we can develop more It would be very important to achieve stable sales for a longer period of time, otherwise it wont be enough. Yes we have a lot of piracy, 60-70% of players. But it is to be expected. There are still awesome supporting players like you guys, that is all that matters!
I like the sound of that. That's my only real complaint, because you don't really have any way to dodge/outmaneuver missiles, which would be nice And you've got the black bar fix for iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 in the works right now, correct?
Yeah it is fixed, confirmed on iPhone 6. Report back here if it persists on iPhone 5S and we will take care of it. The update has been submitted some 3-4 days ago so it should be live next week!
It is easy...I have no idea how but they copy the "ipa" file of the game and paste it to one of their websites. The ONLY way to prevent it is to TURN THE FULL GAME INTO A SINGLE IAP PURCHASE. Dumb developers can't just do that and keep on complaining about piracy... (not saying that you guys are dumb but you could have made the game free with full unlock)
Feature requests Still show prices of the reinforcement ships even if all my ship slots are full (stop me from buying them but let me see the price). I'd rather not memorize how much money I need to upgrade to a better extra ship. Default to the last game mode played. I can't tell you how many times I tapped ok too fast after a game and ended up back in the training. Let me quit a game/training back to main menu. Bugs Sometimes when the "nemesis" escapes in hyperspace, the game doesn't realize the sector is clear after I kill everything thing else. If you say no to a protect/escort ship mission that ship still follows you around. Sometimes a single enemy fighter decides to wander off to the edge of the sector with no interest in fighting or fleeing which can take a while to kill if you don't have your own fighters as the capital ships slowly move over to get into range.
Bug: Sometimes moving fighter bays across ships (with the drop it in space trick) causes the fighters never come out in the new ship. Recalling and releasing the fighters (by tapping carrier and tapping the fighter icon) does not fix this.
This whole piracy thing is totally blown up. Even if 60-70% are pirated, perhaps MAX 10-20% of that would have bought the game. And thats a very high guess. So this comes down to a loss of approximately 6-10%... However, nearly no dev or publisher would admit that...but most pirates only play a very small fraction of their games and wouldn't have bought the game anyway.
There are other things at play here. It's not that simple. Did you know that making a game free opens up the door for a group of players that extort developers with ratings? They give 1 star ratings stating that they will give 5 when the game has been fully unlocked for free. If you want proof I can show you this from our Google Play reviews on Battlestation: First Contact. Did you know that making a game free might have a totally different financial outcome than making a game premium? That the strategies are carefully thought out by developers. Not everyone has a clash of clans game that works well as a F2P game. All of our previous games, which there are 3 in total, have been F2P games. Now we went premium and for many good reasons. Players giving 1 star ratings because why not ads instead? Other game uses ads. Well, maybe because they do not give any revenue unless you have a high stable download count every day. And what does all of this lead to? A game with a bad rating, getting less downloads and making less money for the developer. Every time some extortion review comes in it hurts like hell, only because we gave them the game for free and then dared to ask for a one-time payment after they have played the game for some hours. It is tough being a developer, don't be so quick to judge. Now that we have a premium game only users that buy get to rate, users that have a real interest in the game and are ready to support the developer by buying up front.
