So choosing basic appearance is that the same for everyone or does each class you pick to start with have it's own? Sorry if I'm being dumb not remembering but does gear change the appearances?
By basic appearance I kinda just mean your haircut . The majority if how you look is based on what you have equipped.
I'm generally a fan of d-pads myself, but it really wouldn't make much sense for the way this game is played - by locking on to targets and mixing auto-attacks with activated abilities via an action bar. The closest thing I can compare it to is League of Legends or any other MOBA, except you have up to 8 abilities. I think it would be very clumsy to try and execute all of the stuff you can do with a dpad and thumb-buttons (and would obscure a lot of the screen). Still can't be more specific than "winter" - I posted a couple pages ago our remaining to-do list, which should give you an idea of what's left to finish. Our goal is to finish the last of our enemy types this month. Bear with us!
It's good that your putting the time in to make the game good and what you want it to be. People are just excited because it's been so long since it was first announced until now and you have such a great record to maintain with Battleheart : ) I'm happy to wait for it to be finished but at the same time so so impatient because I want it now!
I wish it would have some kind of color or special background for different tiers (diablo stlye?) of equipment. In my opinion it'd make your game even more fun because it would add some sort of collection craze (ie. get all the purple flamed items!). I remember the original, like someone else said, it was hard to tell if something was super rare or not. For instance if people knew you could only get yellow weapons from an arena, I'm sure people would play even longer to add it to their collection. But then if it looks almost indistinguishable, it might not be something collectors would care as much about. In fact, if all the item icons were specially colored or grouped, people would probably be less likely to sell them off so they can keep them. In turn, this makes people play longer to get more money to buy other items instead of buy/sell process. However that's just my opinion. I'll enjoy whatever you put out regarless!
Ya know I actually like the idea of unique icon borders. I think I'll do that for the top tier stuff.
I completely agree. I never really knew that there where tiers in battleheart 1. Would have grinded for gear if I knew :/... Imo it just makes the game a bit more organized and interesting. Maybe tiers 1-7 would have white text, while t8 would be green, t9 would be blue, and t10 would be purple? Thats probably not completly accurate due to me not knowing the gear stats, but you probably know what I mean. Anyways, I would like to thank you for actually interacting with the community, unlike the many devs out there :/. Really appreciate it! cheers!
Mika.. It's nice to have a developer on hand who listens and is open to implementing changes based on community feedback. That said, I hope you plan to support this title in the future through updates. I brought it up 8-9 pages ago where you replied as well, but have you considered the possibility of expanding the game with paid expansions rather than free updates? Seeing how the original Battleheart has an amazing fan following, I have no doubt that building upon the core game would be a win win situation for both you, and us fans, vs you starting to work on a different title altogether after launching this game. Just my $.02
For the tiers thing, maybe it would be cool to have four colours so tiers 1-3 were one colour, 4-6 were another, 7-9 were yet another, and ten is it's own. This way as you progress through the game you feel like your weapons and apparel are improving. It's just an idea though, I'm sure whatever's in the final product will be awesome
Paid expansions are certainly something we'll consider, it really just depends on whether there's interest and if we have something we are excited about adding.
Hi there, I do hope there is coloring as well for different tiers. I am playing little legends from com2us and they allow upgrades to +30. Every 4-5 level there is a color and for +30 items it's rainbow color meaning the color changes time to time. Having +1 +2 but without colors will be boring haha. Anyway, I will still buy this game regardless as I love battlehearts so much
I'm glad your liking that idea as it really does keep people playing more just wanting the best gear just look at WoW. I love the good old colour system from there though white = common, green = uncommon, blue = rare, purple = epic and orange = legendary I really hope the game does well too so there are updates and possible DLC.
