We're planning to release at 4.99, no IAP. I think the success of Xcom, Oceanhorn and many others demonstrate that there is an appetite for "premium" apps that don't resort to IAP as their primary revenue stream. Some users (myself included) would rather buy a game and know I'm getting the whole package, no restrictions, no ads, no casino-style traps looking for suckers.
Three cheers for going premium, Mika! Very much appreciated. Really hope it will work out for you financially. And don't forget that folks like me are willing to pay for DLC too, e.g. more characters or additional campaigns/scenarios.
I'd of picked it up no matter what your pay model was but I am very happy to hear this! I hope that the game does well and as the last guy said I've still always been willing to pay again for extra DLC content.
Take my money. Take all of it. Seriously, I'd pay $10 for this game. I'll gladly buy any kind of optional/expansion-like dlc you put out.
Buy it, and all their other games, too. They're that good. This is the only ios developer I don't mind giving money too.
Watched the trailer for more than 10 times now. This is one of my most anticipated releases right now, together with Dungelot 2 and Exiles.
Easily my most wanted game on any system. Elders MMO being a decent second. ...Hello Kitty Online Adventure MMO 2: Electric Boogaloo, being a distant 3rd.
We do use a 10 tier system under the hood to group items by rarity/quality, though it isn't exposed to the player in terms of labels like "epic" or purple text. You'll just find better stuff from higher level zones/merchants.
Could the highest tier have some sort of distinction though? In battleheart atleast i didn't even realize that there was more powerful equipment to find in the arena until I read about it here.
