I want to throw in a note on the soundtrack for the game:

I'm particularly proud of the music in Battleheart: Legacy. I feel that this score is some of the most fully realized we've done in the almost 18-year history of Gravity Music, and I am looking forward to hearing reactions to it.

I still get fan mail for the original Battleheart music, with requests for MP3s of the themes that can be listened to outside the game. So Gravity and MikaMobile are planning to release an iTunes album called Battleheart: The Original Soundtrack that will contain all the music from both games.

Obviously, were not going to sell a million copies... It's really just a service to the fans who have requested it. But I do think you'll find the score for the new game to be immersive and involving.

I have not. Typically clones tend to not be as polished so i get leary.

EDIT: ok just looked. IAP, yeah not a fan of energy systems or anything of the sort.

Dang... my favorite class to play is healer in mmos, which is why Battleheart was the perfect game: I could simulate a microcosm mmo experience. I always had both the bard and cleric in my party, and it was super fun.

This just looks like another run of the mill arpg. Too bad....

I was hoping the sequel to Battleheart would improve on an already amazing game instead of taking such a departure.

A departure it is for sure, though you might find it's more than just "another arpg". It honestly feels much more like Battleheart than Diablo - combat is slower and more thoughtful than your typical click-fest, and still relies on timely use of your skills to control your foes and minimize damage. It just doesn't operate on the classic MMO "holy trinity" this time.

I'm glad you enjoyed the original Battleheart, we're very proud of it, but we also like to pursue something different with each project... or we'd be up to Zombieville 5 by now. :)

I'm looking forward to this game, I will play it, and I will probably adore it

But nothing compares to the original Battleheart for me. That was probably one of the best games I've ever played in my whole life, no exaggeration, on any platform

I suggested this right after I first tried Battleheart, but damn, if someone made a pokemon-like battleheart game [that was not free to play with in-app purchases but instead cost some upfront amount (with no in-app purchases)] that would be the ultimate game for me.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to BH Legacy

Whats about to make a pokemon-like game? I would insta buy it too.
Your graphics and animation style would fit perfectly to this type of game.
    Think about it !

From a long time fan of Mika Mobile / Battleheart, I wish the dev would dedicate more time on expanding the game rather than coming out with new ones... or perhaps a healthy balance of both (ie: Fruit Ninja / Tilt to Live / etc).

I understand the manpower & time required may not be even close to Halfbrick's or other studios but you guys put out such fantastic games and then abandon them, that people are left wanting more but to no avail. Battleheart could have been the prime example of a beautiful game supported by updates, but it also felt as if it was abandoned despite the huge fan following.

Here's hoping this one is supported better and for longer to come.
