Rogue is more of a bandit type of class and ninjas are super stealthy type dudes. Thats just how i see em lol
I believe iOS 6 will be the minimum. As for rogues and ninjas, the ninja kit is focused on dual-wielding and ninja gadgets like shuriken and smoke bombs, while the rogue is about stealth, poisons and dagger attacks. There is some stat overlap though so a hybrid of them is totally possible too.
Thanks Mika, can you also tell me who of the two classes have the most DPS? Maybe a little skill review? I can't wait, finished my finals today and I crave this game so much... Edit: According to the trailer, I think that the Rogue character has 5 rogue skills and 1ninja skill Rogue skills: Stealth of course, this high damaging backstab slash that does look exactly like the 1st rogue skill in Battleheart, the warp behind (same), the poison range Dagger that stuns and the Dagger gap closer charge skill Plus the throwing shuriken for Ninja
You've got it, plus that dash attack he does in the trailer is a ninja skill called Blade Rush. Which class is highest DPS? We're still playing with numbers a bit, but generally speaking every class will excel at different moments, it's not just about damage. The rogue, ninja and barbarian have pretty strong burst damage skills, which are great for eliminating annoying enemies (like archers or healers) quickly. But that's not the only way to handle a fight - you can also control/stun your foes and simply brush off their attacks with a more defensive class like a knight/monk/paladin. Every class (even those more offense oriented) also includes some utility too, in the form of stuns, healing, mobility, etc. So the highest damage build would probably be some kind of hybrid that only cherry-picks the best damage abilities from several classes, but it would be extremely fragile and 1-dimensional. Such a build might have a harder time with bosses, who tend to be more tests of endurance.
Well, if I understand correctly, would it be possible to stack the Control skills? Let's say that Ninja, Barbarian, Mage, Rogue, Monk and Knight all have one stun skill. You have 6 active skills. Wouldn't it be too strong to be able to stun non stop on every skill? If so, would it not be more adequate to split the active skills in three categories such as 2 damage skills, 2 control and two support skills? I'd love some clarification Thanks for your time answering by the way
Just to clarify, you eventually can have 8 active skills. It would be possible to run with a lot of CC, but you will often be fighting several enemies at once and won't be able to lock them all down 24/7 even with an action bar packed with control. Plus if you're relying 100% on your auto-attacks for damage while you stun things constantly, you'll be killing things quite slowly, so I don't think it would be an overpowered (or even ideal) way to play.
It's going to be a fun June. Five bucks no IAP; i'm in. Game looks fantastic: environment, characters but retains the same Battleheart qualities. A bit disappointed at missing the party, though. Partying added the micromanagement/TD fun flavor- it was a great tried-and-true formula Put the tanks upfront and hold back with the long-range fighters and really protect the healer I would've been happy with Battleheart 2, add some more classes expand the world bit more... But I understand this is a different game, different development process -a whole new universe with the added dimension Kinda like Dungeon Hunter which I too sadly miss sequel wise Oh well, things move on, 10 years from now maybe we'll see 2-D Battleheart retro for us party fans.
I am soo excited for this! Battleheart was one of my first purchases way back when, and its been imitated by so many games but never replicated. I'll miss the party system too but I'm sure it will be just as fun solo!!
will this require internet to play on story mode? and a follow up question, will there be online aspects to the game (pvp/arena/co-op dungeons) further down the road?
No internet required. I can't say for sure if we'll do any kind of multiplayer eventually - it would be pretty cool to play co-op, but it would also be an insane amount of work, so if it ever happens it would be a long ways off.
I am so stoked this is single player and 1class at a time. Having a party to command all the time was stressful lol.
MikaMobile is definitely my favorite game dev. 0 disappointments with their games and they are always top notch.
Would definitely wait for it even if it took years. Get hype just thinking about PvPing against literally millions of different skill builds.
Just wanted to say that this game looks really good! At first I was a bit skeptical, fantasy action fighting gameplay isn't exactly super original, but the gameplay looks fresh and the game looks very polished as well! Really like it when people take well known game concepts and translates them with new input mechanics to the iOS creating something new and interesting in the process. Will be checking this one out!
