The patch will be free right? Also, you'd probably want to get it beefy enough apple features it, they tend to do that to any game touch arcade features so you've already got some hell there
That's understandable as initial opinions can be the death of some games so it's always best to be the best it can be.
Yea, I was referring to free updates that simply add in additional content that didn't quite make the first pass. And yes, a feature by Apple is always the target - need to make sure all your ducks are in a row regarding content, screenshots, icon, etc. so that you have the best chance. So far all of our games have gotten featured somewhere so hopefully that trend continues.
I'm sure this won't have any trouble getting featured. But yes, take your time. I want it as much as everyone else, but if that comes at the expense of less content then I can wait. I know it will be worth it.
I'd say to release the full game all at once, unless the game does feel finish and the updates just feel like extra content, but that is just my opinion. Everyone else does seem to like the idea though. Also, does BHL have a dialogue story or is the game's story based on on obtaining the best gear and having fun? And in the trailer theres a clip that shows a marker moving through a map; is this a fast travel feature? If so could you explain how it works? ...Aaannd one last question (sorry Im just so intrested in the game) how does the spell tree work? Can you equip every spell, or are there more than 7 spells per class and you'll have to decide which spells to equip based on your play style?
I don't remember everything that's been said about the game about how many spells ect there are but I do remember them saying that with multiple plays you can learn all of spells in the game they just all have different requirements to learn and then once you have them they are yours I think it is.
There are 156 spells divided among twelve classes. That gives us 13 per class. I'm not sure how that works out with passives aortic whether or not they count as spells, but there are more than nine class specific tools at your disposal. Hope this helps
Yea, we definitely want the game to feel "complete" on release. Anything we patch in later would just be like bonus stuff. There is a fair amount of branching dialog - our main inspirations were titles like the old Fallout games, or the elder scrolls series, where there was some kind of overarching main plot (find the water chip, beat the final boss) and a collection of side-plots which often have various endings or ways to complete them. You'll run into random events out in the world too, like highwayman ambushing you or a traveling merchant, and you'll have some options as to how you interact with them. The map you see in the trailer is how you travel from place to place. The game is broken up into separate zones (a town, a dungeon, etc) which are entered via the map. And yea, 156 skills across 12 classes. Of those, 96 are active abilities, so you'll definitely have to cull it down to your top 8. A single class has 8 active skill by itself, but mixing and matching between similar classes is highly encouraged. We look forward to seeing what kind of unconventional hybrids people come up with.
But not even close to as good as the elder scrolls side quests and stuff. No offence, i would be the first one the buy this game the second it comes out, but the elder scrolls some side missions actually change the entire game. Man I love skyrim.
I don't wanna drag this out or argue at all. I'm simple just asking, did you make the dpad an option? It's an insta-buy for me either way.
No, it would take time to do properly and I'm focused on finishing more critical tasks until release. And yea, since I don't have a team of 100 developers we won't be matching skyrim in scope.
I'd hate dpad on here anyway of course some may like it as an option but thy know what they are doing here so give the controls a chance for you to play a bit and get use to it before giving an opinion : ) Really can't wait to get the game though I'll be buying it right away.
If I were you I would put battleheart on sale when this comes out, but uh idk just seems like it might open some eyes. Just a suggestion!
