Can anyone help regarding the procedure to properly beat the spider queen? I've tried with Wizard only spells, I've tried with directly elemental only (fire/frost/lightning), I've even unequipped the staff so I wouldn't auto-shoot at it and then avoided any physical touch so as not to auto-attack (and without using Teleport too), but no matter what I do I get the same result where they say I wasn't using magic. I guess all that lightning and frost and fire was just bad weather, then. I'm level 50 with all the bells and whistles but I'm at a loss at what to do about this one.
I'm level 47, i can 3 hit the queen. I'm a ranger/rogue and i basically use all the buffs for shadowstep.
I'm no way around a hater I was just curious. Thank you for sharing. I think your build is amazing, just have some shallow suggestions: Sickle -> time-lost urn for 10%dodge. 2.5 or 2.8 crit doesn't seem to be a big difference to me, but maybe it affects deep wound's damage more than that? horror -> lullaby, it serves better for your goal to take out mage first, 10 second period. adrenaline rush -> 10% dodge, so you get 100% dodge when you are under smoke and buff of sneak attack. Completely safe. And about END, you get 10 HP from level up, only 5 from 1 END, so a minor investment in END doesn't make much difference.
Almost every decent build requires CD reduction. And the only way to get it without hugely undermine your damage is impending doom build. So by ninja you mean ninja skills, I think so.
What a pain. I didn't know I had to save the girl early on, i killed her, then later when i was like level 20 i realised i needed her, so i started again but i couldn't be assed xD
If you use silence at the beginning of the wave the casters won't be able to start the AoE spells, and they will come in to melee. With counter and retribution you will still damage them during the animations. What would be nice is a readout on the icon showing you how much time the buff has left...and yes dodge is capped at 30%.
Thanks for the suggestion will give it a go.. Cheers.. EDIT: I really like your idea of using Lullaby, completely overlooked this one handy skill.
Yes, I was in the same boat with my Wiz/Necro/Witch build. I think you have to unequip the passives as well as active skills so that only wizard or no unholy stuff is equipped including equipment. It is do-able.
I have updated Dan's spreadsheet to highlight cells of skills that would be active under a certain stat level. I am not sure if anyone is interested, but I may try out some challenging builds to see how it works. This would help with planning out new builds and knowing what skills will be available and when. Update: The spreadsheet highlights all available skills in green and highlights a skill you need 1 more point for in yellow. It also calculates the minimum level you need for the stats you are entering.
I'm a wiz/witch/necro; was level 22 or so when I first beat her "properly". My poison staff was equipped, and I had a passive poison aura (witch), so I'm sure those aren't an issue. The skills I had used on her was blizzard, meteor, conflagrate, and chain lightning. The way I beat her is by not straying too far from her. This prevents her from doing that leap attack (i had the witch passive aura to reduce poison damage). This also helped to ensure that the babies always died off by a single meteor attack.
Hm, I had some of my necro skills equipped, i just didnt cast them. Also had witch/necro passives. Also a non-elemental staff. My main issue was staying alive long enough to kill her with just the wiz skills.
I think eventually for arena the race to test the limit of arena is more about not dying than killing any faster. enough dex ( 65 ) for 30% dodge and 25 endurance for the armor with lifesteal n life steal from witch pasive seems to be crucial heck I even use the barb passive which gives health and movement speed. will test after I have finished farming arena
Yay, finally became lv 50, started as a pure bard, and by this level, I was able to learn all the skills available (thanks to generalist skill of bard). Now I can try all different kinds of builds out there! AND, I get to do the crazy mode and kill everyone lol. Anyways, started the build from post #408 (btw, I got to lv 50 with this build as well), and man, I jumped into the arena at lv 6, and of course, got killed around 30 something kills, but man, so fast in leveling!!! By level 12ish, I was lucky enough to do 101 kills, and got the legendary for necromancer staff (don't know the name). And, even when I was low level, and got killed around 50 kills, the item you get is the top tiered trinkets from the store. I'm copying all the builds you guys post, so I can try later, but is there any fun builds out there you enjoy?
Those are the skills I'm using. I do have Teleport and Time equipped, but haven't touched them. It still doesn't work for some reason. I can take her damage for however long it takes, but as soon as I kill her using Wizard skills, it's "not magic". How do you unequip spells? I know we can switch them, but is there any way to empty a slot completely? Because if so, I'll empty all my slots on everything and just go in with Chain Lightning, Blizzard, Conflagrate, Meteor and Glacial Spike.
I did a search on this thread and the "home" Battleheart Legacy thread and couldn't find an answer, so I'm hoping someone will be able to chime in. First of all, thanks to KiddToKmart for a great thread! Second, does anyone know how to beat the boss in the Crystal Chamber (level 24)? I'm currently at level 27 with a combination of Wizard, Archer and Necromancer skills (Wiz being the most dominant) and I can't beat this dude. Edit: it's cool. I beat this guy and now am trying to get the third shard.
I insta-bought mercurial blade on my paladin... but only noticed after that holy blade of MIR is way stronger for him! My first char was a ninja so that just means mercurial blade scales with either dex/ski and holy blade scales with either str/cha
I had a couple of non-wizard skills equipped because I didn't have enough wizard skills to take up all skill slots. I was just super-careful not to use them in that battle, and I was fine. It was a long and hard battle, since I'm used to using Necro skills, but it counted. I also used an ice/frost staff. Maybe try that?
Thanks for digging my build I will give you my best build, which is also most interesting build in 2 ways: 1. you can't die, literally 2. you don't need to move a single step, and the mobs are all gonna die I just post the core skills for this build (the rest part you can filling freely, but I will suggest damage) Skill: premed last stand Frenzy Smoke Bomb Silence Ghost hand wrath passive favored souls NO life leech PLZ trinkets: 2* 20% CD speed books I guess a smart guy can figure out how to play this build, so I won't spoiled the fun to tell here. Again, you don't have to move, and you won't die, not without a mistake.
