I agree about the BM as I completely love mine when I am just romping around but fighting the bosses are a bit tough. Especially the golem boss to get the blacksmith ores, anyone have any tipa for that battle?
Can't decide on armor. Crimson Regalia. 35 Armor. Twilight Plate. 30 Armor +3% Crit/Dodge Im leaning toward twilight plate... As dodge and crit is awesome. But I don't know how significant each point of armor is in this game... :/. In most Blizzard titles, no brainer, crit/dodge.
I do like lacerate because I use it with the passive skill Twist of the Blade. With that combination I would say yes, it is better than poison Rogues/ninjas do get hit pretty hard, but thats why they have many teleportation skills, fast hitting, high crits. Movement is key with these classes. And if you have impending doom, your smoke bomb should finish its cd before its finished being used, letting you take more hits. i'd say silent assassin is probably the best passive skill, since it lets you get in and out of situations instantly. The sickle does 10% crit and 50% crit dmg. I use it for bosses and dungeons. But for the coliseum I use Choker of the Red Feast (10% life drain). I equip 2 of those and I am set for arena. I end up not using potions until I reach round 20ish
I beat it with my battlemage. Get teleport to help you dodge the charge attacks the golem uses. I would also recommend using the mummy and either rise skeletons or the hunting dog if you have it. Pets are great for distracting the snakes and can taunt the golem itself, allowing you to hack away while the golem is distracted. I'd use thundering weapon on the golem. It's stun will save your minions from dying as quickly, so you can keep replenishing them. Ice can also help with this.
Decided to pick this up after reading all the glowing reviews, unfortunately I am pretty underwhelmed and feel like I just bought into the hype/fanboy train. The progression is fairly uninteresting and not particularly rewarding, paired with the not-so-great loot aspect leaves me wanting something else. While the visuals are nice, it's just not enough for me to call this a 5 star RPG. If anything it feels like a really dumbed down ARPG with some slick graphics. Maybe I'm missing something here that sets this apart from other games, but this far I'd rather be snagging intersting loot and crawling through the hundreds of levels in Dungeon Quest than playing this.
What you're missing is the robust cross-skill/class system. Dungeon quest also fails to challenge at all at a certain point where BL is a little more tactical.
Buying a couple skills from each class hardly qualifies to be considered a "robust class system." FFT had a robust class system. This is just so... Average. I'm going to keep trying to put time into this game and hope it will click with me at some point, unfortunately I'm still feeling like I spent 5 bucks on hype.
Legendary tier loot, loot system, equipable items, many classes, hybrids, many many talent builds intense combat actions, explorable map, pets, quest, amazing boss fights, dungeons, many spells active and passive. Seems like a ARPG to me. The perfect mobile one for me as well. But I understand a game can't be perfect for everyone. We all have opinions. As for me, I am enjoying the game from a hardcore perspective and a casual perspective. I am on my third playthrough right now heheh. Ofc people who like the game are going to be "fanboys" such an unecessary term. Pardon the majority of the people who enjoy MikaMobile's games, especially the Battleheart series. Theres no other game that has that Battleheart feel
Unfortunately all of the positives you've listed are out shined by many games already on the App Store. I use the term fanboy, not for someone who enjoys the game, but someone who is blind to the negatives of a game due to their own enthusiasm for said game. Not sure why you seemed to find that to be an offensive term. I am beginning to think the casualness of the game is what really is stopping me from enjoying it too much. The artificial difficulty enhancer of slapping on extra health to enemies isn't ideal, and the tiered skill upgrades and weaponry is just so -dry-.
Please do mention an ARPG game that has all of these features and that outshines how this game implements it. I fail to see the problem with the difficulty enhancer And yes people would rather that you don't call them fanboys. I wouldn't say its a casual game. Its just that sometimes I don't have much time to play so I do a few arena waves and close the app, hence casual play. Its definitely an intense game Shame you didnt like the game though oh well, not for everyone I guess
It's just a game after all, as mentioned by a few others, $5 for a game that gives more than 5 hours of content is alright with me. Less than $1 an hour for smooth and consistent gameplay is definitely worth it. Compared to full fledged games that cost $50 dollars but less than 30hours of gameplay. As far as casualness goes, the art style gives that notion away pretty obviously. If your looking for that kick that gives a feel of actual power in character, try out the colleseum, about 100 kills in the simplest monsters become tougher as you said with chunky hp. I wouldn't expect too a ton of variation with this price tag but it definitely serves it's purpose well. Enough of a mix to keep things interesting. Where this excels is the combination of monsters, if archers and mediocre mobs are too easy, what if there are 2 mummies 3 necromancers that heal mobs and an ogre that summons MORE monsters? On a side note: how far has everyone gotten in the colleseum? At level 32 my best is 167 kills with a cross knight/battlemage hybrid.
Having all those things does -not- make a game good. This a case of quality > quantity. I'm not entirely sure you properly grasped what I was saying. Maybe try rereading it again to get a better idea? The difficulty slider provided artificial difficulty- rather than having a more intelligent A.I. Or alternate abilities it simply gives the creature more health. Like I said earlier, it just feels really dry. Fanboyism rubs rampant in the T.A. forums and I won't hesitate to use the word as I see fit. If you take it as an insult perhaps you're too sensitive.
Where was it? I'm looking for it now and I seem to be having trouble. Is it the level 25 one called Charbone Lair? That's the only on that seems to be a cave that's North West.
It is all the way to the left of the map, the tent. Its called Razor Clan Excavation. You first have to complete the first area "Midnight Canyon", then you'll face a boss. He should drop the materials
I see. Thanks. I think maybe the quest should have said it's in a tent not a cave... Edit- Holy cow! That boss is tough!
