Pretty simple. Instant CD is a percentage chance of no CD for the next firing, and CD reduction is percentage reduction of you normal CD time.
So, I was wondering why people were complaining about crashes, as I haven't had a single crash on either my Rogue/Ninja or my magic user. But...I just played the first Chaos Tower (to the east) and every single time a gate came up, it was choppy and laggy. Some of the battles were lagging a bit, too. For the first time since starting the game, I was worried it might crash. Luckily, I made it through without crashing, but it was so weird. It's not like any of those rooms had more mobs than any other area I've been to. Anyone else have trouble with that specific area?
Win the internets? What does that mean? Gonna get this today cause it is a slow week, but guess we all know the ending now.
Rogue build advice anyone? My Rogue/Ninja/Knight (level 18) is as follows: Stats: 14/23/5/17/17/5 (for Grit) Attack: 45/45 Defense: 26 Active skills: - Twin Strike - Sneak Attack - Lacerate - Cleave - Paralytic Knife - Stealth - Shuriken - Smoke Bomb Passive skills: - Twist the blade - Lethal edge - Grit - Armsman - Dual Wield - Flurry I'm not sure whether I should be focusing on crit or not, so I'm not running Lethality. My Accessory slots are Spectral Mantle (14% attack speed, 10% cooldown speed) and Scroll of Fury (6 weapon power, 6% crit). Troubles: when I'm faced with groups of more than a few mobs, I get overwhelmed easily, so I blow through my potions quite quickly. Haven't tried Colloseum yet, but I doubt it will be pretty. My AOE is poor (hence still running cleave and shuriken)
Thanks, i actually just gave it a try before reading this and did the exact same thing. Worked great. Hopefully it will be handy to others too
I think it would be best to focus on just ninja and rogue and dip the knight, just so that you can have maximum out put on your enemies. The best build (IMO) is Active -Twin strike -Sneak attack -Lacerate -Blade rush: very effective when used with large group of enemies while in stealth -Shadow step: very effective when dealing with single targets and when in stealth -Smoke bomb -Shuriken -Stealth Passive -Silent assassin -Dual wielding -Lethality -Lethal edge -Impending doom -Twist of the blade Equipment -Weapons: Tombcaller (primary dagger) & Witherstrike (secondary sword) -Armor: Cowl of the red fang -Trinkets: Howlibg sickle (on both slots) This build is very crit focused
while i cant speak much for BattleMage as i haven't dived into the tree, I can somewhat agree on the Mage front. I went heavy int with Mage/Witch/Necro and i found more as the game went on that i used other skills outside my mage. Mage is good AoE, but not great for boss fights. I believe thats by design so classes feel different, but it does make a mage feel like less of a nuker. I'll have to try a pure (or mostly pure) battlemage in a new run.
Thanks for the advice. So this confirms my suspicion that Lacerate is better than Poison Knife, correct? The only reason I have the points for Knight is so I can get Grit, wear some heavier armor, and gain some HP. I am putting Endurance on hold now until I get some of the other skills you mention. Is potion chugging just an issue rogues have to face? I see no way to really self-heal (Unless Howling Sickle does that - I'm not familiar with the item). Thanks.
I just finished the ore quests for the smith. I got a dagger that was pretty underwhelming. Did I miss something or is the weapon you get just not that good?
if its the first smithy quest, then yes its a bit underwhelming. the second smith quest from the capital is decent as it opens up a ton of gear you can buy so its worth doing.
This is confusing. The smith in the capital gave me the quest. I beat the level 20 dungeon and a level 4 dungeon opened up next to the starting village. And if I understand you correctly there is another quest I can do?
I found ninja chick 1st encounter but she got away. Did i do something wrong or i get to see her again? She has dual wield skills i think.
Found a GameCenter Achievement bug? I got the achievement for doing 2000 damage with one hit, but not the 500 or 1000? Does it have to be the exact number?
Part of the glory of the game is the ability to experiment with different skills and adjust your current skillset to adapt to different challenges. For example, if I'm playing arena matches I'm going to maximize my AOE, but if I'm dungeon crawling I might opt for more of a stealth and assassination approach, or if I'm fighting a boss I might focus on DPS. Yes, the battlemage skills aren't great on their own, but many of them can be very good in certain situations. Against spiders and enemies that inflict a status on you, backlash is great. If you're fighting a swarm of enemies with a healer in the back that keeps replenishing them, you can ghost hand them. Within its skill set, the BM always has an answer for everything, but it doesn't fit any one strategy well. For me, I've mixed a BM with mecromancer's summon skills. I use thundering weapon for single enemy removal, and freezing/flaming weapon for AOE to even the odds for my skeletons and mummy. Because I always have some sort of minion force up, I am able to survive pretty well in the arena even though the BM has so so DPS ability. Oh and the battlemage armor has pretty decent protection, with a good magic buff to boot. I'd recommend that. And yeah... The key to the BM is manastrike and managing your cooldowns. You should almost always be able to use manastrike if you run all three weapon types. On another note... Can anyone tell me how dual wielding factors into how much damage your skills deal, and/or how what stats and equips affect the battlemage's manastrikes?
