An active quest list and maps for towns/dungeons are 2 things that I'd like to see in the game. More content down the road would be great too.
Just wanted to say that I wasn't a fan of the original game. Played it for a day or two and was pretty much done with it. I'm also (ducks thrown shoe) not a big fan (ducks another shoe) of RPGs in general (ducks several shoes.) That being said... I am FLAT OUT HOOKED on this game. Just my first play through, about 8 hours in, and I love it. It's my go-to game, and one I'll be taking with me on all future business trips to pass the time. So well done. Now I'm hoping Mika does the same thing with their zombie series. Would LOVE to see a proper 3D treatment done to those with similar controls and leveling. BRING IT!
Because you lose all sense of class by the end. We'll eventually all be the same character, having access to every ability. Why even have multiple class trainers? Why not just have one trainer called "shapeshifter," you know? Look. It's a great game. This is just a minor frustration for me. But I do know that I stopped feeling like a paladin when I realized I could pick and choose the best abilities from each class and ended up with all of his strengths and none of his weaknesses.
Actually this isn't true. If you do new game+, even if you unlocked the abilities, without a lot of the skill points, your abilities will be noticeably weaker. For instance a lot of mage skills' power are dependent on the intelligence stat. If you are just referring to grinding your way to everything in ONE playthrough, that would take a A LOT of time considering you need to keep leveling up and inputting skill points to have access to other skills. You probably would get bored of the game before you manage to get all the skills in one playthrough without NG+.
I can understand how you feel there as I'm use to all the normal types of rpg games and have loved them since I was a kid so I always felt special being a Mage or whatever I picked and being the best at it. I don't believe it's a bad thing though just different, I believe everyone will play differently not all the same. Even if we can all have the same abilities people have preferences and favourite ways of doing things it just opens up the options for you to personalise your favourite play style and class that you'd dreamed about while playing other RPGs but unable to do so. For me it's a massive part of what makes the game even more special than an ordinary rpg along with all of the other cool features too of course : ) but like I said each to their own not everyone will like the same thing but as long as the majority do then that's what's your aiming for. Besides your stats also decide who you are so once you unlock everything if you chose to and then play another + mode game then you'll pick stats to suit the class you want to be. I'm going to remain a caster so mainly focus on int and endurance. Won't bother with skl, cha or anything else as I prefer a higher constant damage to trying to be a crit monster, CC and DoTs are my favourite style along with AoE of course.
Not maces. Swords like the one you get in the beginning or ones the ninjas have. Not the barbarian swords (If you can call them swords)
Another quick video for new rogue/ranger players looking to add fresh abilities to their rotation. There's a major crossroad between choosing paralytic knife or bear trap, but the difference in CD time (20 sec. vs. 8 sec) might make the decision clear. Enjoy!
Sooo... I unlocked a whole bunch of Ninja skills, and I'm not really sure what the big deal is with dual blades. I was doing much better with my Rogue/Ranger build. So I went back to it and just added Shuriken and the passive skills. What am I missing? What's so great about the Ninja skills?
I think you gain gold for helping, or open a Cartel quest line for not. You talking about the ambush mission?
Trying to get Battoe a Mage here. When I go to the Royal a Guard they say there's no contracts for mercenaries. I think I had a contract before but failed not sure. Also the Captain says he's waiting on getting permission to hire me so I'm stuck getting the Battle Mage. I haven't got Ninja either they keep telling me I can't enter.
Been playing a bard/ninja it's been a really fun combo with rogue stealth ability for Gibbing mobs bard brings a lot of utility with hp regen and a charm for cc and extra dps. You can also pick up some paladin skills due to the charisma requirement
After 2 playthroughs (im ready for the next ), i can say the bulk of the strategy in completing the game is in sustaining your hp. Potions are awesome in a way that they heal your HP to full in an instant, but in boss fights or drawn out fights you'll want to save the potions in critical moments.
