I can't believe the review AppSpy gave it. The reviewer clearly barely played the game. He missed out on well over half the features. He even called the combat "dull"... What the? Its a shame a well known review site just pushed out a review without properly playing the game
No chance. You need superb AOE skills, and rogue/ninja doesn't have it at low level (even at high level, rogue/ninja AOE is basically non existant)
It was a positive NUMBER, although it seems more time was spent on the negatives in the actual review than usual. I think the reviewer just happened to not dig the game all that much and wrote the review in somewhat of a protest mindset while cognizant they couldn't give the game anything lower than a 4. The choice of things to praise was odd too. The aspect of the game which shows the most development mastery are the actual game mechanics and that's where most of the criticism was applied. It kind of makes the game out to be a game with mediocre gameplay but with an atmosphere that makes enduring that bad gameplay tolerable. I don't think that's a very useful picture for the consumer, whether or not they would actually enjoy the game.
Is anyone else facing instead death by the spider spit? I am a level 27 and even though I beat the area previously I can't get past the razors clan camp lv13.
Even though i dont agree with Appspy review, it also adressed one of my concern i.e you can just retreat to previous area to recharge abilities. Yes, it will be boring, the pace will become very slow, and that's not the way the game should be played, but the fact remains that it can be done like that. So, I think enemies should regain health if the player retreat to previous zone
I agree. It's an easy solution. Yeah it's boring to play like that, but it's an exploit and most players are tempted to exploit given the opportunity.
I don't know what class everyone else is playing, but with Wizard skills I've never felt the need to duck out to recharge. It would be great to duck out and heal, but you only have 5 potions so ducking out doesn't help with that.
Thinking about possibly buying this game even though I kinda often don't like point to move games. Should I wait for the update to buy?
If MikaMobile blocks retreating to the previous room, i hope he leaves the first room of each dungeon unlocked. sometimes I go into the first room just to test new skills, skill combo and/or equipment
Monk class have Self heal ability. Anyway, my post is more about Offensive Skills than heal. Mage have great advantage here, let say you have 3 AOE skills, you enter the room then fire all 3 AOE, retreat to previous room and wait the CD so those skills became available again. You enter the room again, fire all3 AOE again, retreat again, rinse repeat until all enemies died. It's very safe (and boring) way to play
It's a bug. The cooldown does not work properly. Currently the only way to cast the mummy more than once is to summon a skeleton after the mummy dies, this starts the cooldown timer to 15 seconds like it's supposed to. However, casting a skeleton is a 50% chance your game will crash so currently mummy = worthless. basically if you want to use the mummy more than once you have to decide if casting a skeleton and crashing your game is worth the risk
Running Ninja/Rogue with a splash of Paladin's 10s heal. sweet bursts of minor healing! MikaMobile: please consider adding DPS to the character's stats. love playing mix-and-match with my accessories. but i don't know to calculate with attack speed
LOL... Anyone who EXPLOITS the area-leave trick to get his skills to cool down is a fool. He could just turn the slider down and get infinite potions. I used fool coz i dont want to use the word retard.
I see what you did there, EP. But yeah, never once in playing for about 24 hours did I ever think about retreating from a room in mid-fight, because there was always the feeling that I could make it through the fight as long as I played smart. That, and the combat was intense enough that I didn't *want* to break the flow once a fight got started. Besides, how are you ever going to get better without challenging yourself? I'd love to see the reviewer get shredded up completely in the arena.
Yeah I'd say wait for an update due to some game breaking bugs. I am not a fan of point and move type of games, but man this game just nails it perfectly. The point and click is a neccesity for combat
I think I'm gonna go ahead and have enemies fully heal if you abandon the fight and leave the room. It's something that I didn't think people would bother doing much, since it's not really necessary, but I kinda feel like it should be actively discouraged.
