"choose strictly one class" is not what I mean... I'll try to dig deeper into this topic by raising a question: why are you still having 3 or 4 decent builds instead of just 1 God build dominates all? That is because of restrictions. Restrictions like magic scales with spell power, some skills require a dagger, some require colossal weapon. My suggestion of inviting more advantages along with more restrictions is not by any means equal to "choose strictly one class", and it can result in more play styles available, each has its focus but also will be a hybrid build.

If it is hard to image, what about a class card called "singer": "song and other buff skills do not requires cast animation and last longer, can only equip light weapon and armor, any spells will have 20% chance to put enemy to sleep for 5 sec, physical skills deal only 80% damage." It may suit for a wrath-autoattack battlemage or a pure caster, but you certainly won't try to play a ninja-singer because of the restrictions on physical skills. That said, it doesn't prevent you from picking up impending doom for CD reduction. I hope this example illustrates my idea clearly.

Yes thats what I meant. Choosing strictly one class - a magic, physical, tank class are some example I can come up with. When you choose a class card you focus on individual types of combat and skills. Just tried to simplify what you're explaining. But I still stick with my point. The system that MikaMobile introduced is what made the game IMO. If you think about it, the game kind of already has this system, your passive skills. If you want you can design your own class card (passives) to focus on a certain type of class. It probably doesn't go as deep but the general idea is still there, except you're the one that is creating it.

I just killed the main story boss. Took me 12h16m on a Rogue/Ninja crit build.
Awesome game! Best purchase for me so far. This game is going to get à lot of replays. :D

Even if you don't choose a skill card, your build will still focus on "individual types of combat and skills", I've seen magic builds, physical ones and tank ones, but not for one time players try to build something that can do all, cuz that char will certainly end up being "can do all, but nothing well". And I already stressed due to balance issue, some play styles are not viable, because they are simply underpowered, and I'm sure that's not what Mika wanted or what he thought this system should result in. That's where my suggestion comes in and focus on.

About passives, IMO only one passive represents play style so far, twin disciplined(so far no one used it). Others are most likely just damage booster. And there are just so much you can expect from a passive, since Mika designed the passives generally as powerful as half a trinket.

I hate magic users in any rpg.. I prefer fighter classes where can get stuck in with the action and look great with cool armour and awesome 2 handed swords.
But I like the sound of the necromancer as I love skellies! So I would like to be a fighter necro and have skellies fight with me. Is this possible?
Do I need to find the necro to be able to train? (Please no spoilers)
    Can the necro raise skellies?
Also is there 2 handed swords in this game?

    Thanks

The necro can summon skelletons and mummies. You should have no problem mixing him with a Barbarian (the barbarian u locks the passive skill that grants you colossal weapons). Plus the necro's first active skill is summoning skeletons! I would recommend a necro/barbarian/knight build for you :)

I found a good arena build. Racked up 246 kills and then I died, because I messed up and didn't drink my potion-.-
Weapon: whatever 1 handed legendary weapon which isn't a dagger. Divinity, baels's blood reaper or whitherstrike, any of them will do (divinity just doesn't fit the look though)
Shield: draconic bulwark (legendary shield, u can buy it from the shop so don't endlessly grind 100+ kills in arena lol)
    Accessories:
Currently using two champagnes, I will swap them out for 2 ashes of grazbad once I get my hands on them (+7 weapon power and 7% life drain is so awesome)

    Skills:
    Active

    Frenzy
    Ki blast
    Savage pounce
    Aura of light
    Radiance
    Slay living
    Defend
    Revenge

    Passive

    Favored soul
    Adrenaline rush
    Life leech
    Armsman
    Grit
    Shield training

    Stats:
    What you need-
33 charisma (some people may not know this, but charisma affects radiance just as much as intelligence does, give or take. I tried running radiance without charisma and I did 100+ damage, and then I added 33 and it shot up to 300-400. I'm not sure if it affects slay living success rate...probably not.)
Everything else in endurance (take advantage of grit)
I put some into strength as well, I have 25 strength and 94 endurance with 33 charisma at the moment. Level 54 I think.

So, this isn't a very common build, and I take pride in it. I'm experimenting with full intelligence crit aoe Mage with impending doom and aegis and dual weilding flame weapon (I got all the skills on my first play through, and then didn't spend a single stat point in Newgame+ until I was level 30. Now I just duplicate it whenever I wanna experiment. With generalist it takes little effort.) However, this build is what I like best. It's fun, different and requires some skill with timing. Time things wrong, and you die very fast. Time things right, and you're gonna go a long way (I sometimes screw up timings at crucial moments, which results in me dying, and hence my 246 kill high score)

The whole point of this build is constant resets. I always run life steal, and not a little either. Why? Because not running a way to gain life quickly effectively means ur always on a clock. With life steal though, u have an efficient way to reset the clock, with little extra effort. The reason for savage pounce is simple. Teleporting healers suck. First u try to slay them, and if that doesn't work, u pounce and burst them down with radiance ki blast and auto attacks. Radiance and ki blast if done well should heal almost all, if not all your health, and remember ur full endurance, so that's pretty substantial.

Radiance is often said to be the strongest skill in the game. I disagree. Why? Because of cast time. In the arena, a moment of pause could instantly get you killed. Radiance is just about the slowest spell in my arsenal. Never use it at higher levels if ur surrounded by a mob and u want to save your ass. That's what ki blast defend and revenge are for. Radiance is used at the start of a wave, or when you've cut a many of the enemies down so you have so room.

Slay living heals you for a lot at higher waves, and it's extremely efficient. However, never rely on slay living. It's there to make your life easier, not to reliably save your life.

Frenzy is absolutely essential, and with favored soul you can have frenzy permanently on (just click on it ofc). It reduces cooldown, and makes your auto attacks fast. Great for life gain.

Defend is there because the most powerful attacks in the game are physical, and it also works very well with revenge, which essentially makes you heal even as you get hit if it's on, especially with aura of light (I love running around in fields of fire and watching my health go up while the archers die. Revenge is hands down my favorite skill. It's safe and badass.) For this build, always play safe, because if you play smartly you can almost always play safe ( I say almost because the fact is, I died in arena. Obviously not immortal. Unlike a certain other obsolete build).

Most of the passives other than favored soul are pretty self explanatory, except adrenaline rush. The reason I have it is simple: because it's badass, and walking slowly is for scrubs. Also once revenge runs out ur gonna have I hastily run out of the field of fire.)

I hope you can figure out which armor to take (hint: the one which you can equip without dexterity, is legendary, and isn't for mages).

Potions shouldn't be a problem either. I always die with at least 4 unused (usually 5). Not something to brag about, but a testament to survivability at least.

Another thing to note: NEVER use this build on casual. Why? Because casual and easy are too scrub to dignify this build. Why would you need situational resets with unlimited pots? Just go dual wield with blade rush and blood magic and praise yourself for being the best player ever. (I'm joking, do that in casual and you'll still die.)

Well, that's my two cents. Sorry for long post.

    Ninjato sword...

Does anyone know where I can find the Ninjato sword? I had it before and accidentally sold it. Looking for 2 to dual wield.

    Thanks!

The recommended hardware is iPhone 4s/iPad 2 and up, but it should run on the iPhone 4 as well without a problem.

The arena is a little tough for lower levels. It is more of an end game treat. I recommend going to the arena around level 25

Is the critical cumulative? So if I equip two silver slivers at 35 critical will that add to seventy?

Yeah, for arena I usually use two health steal trinkets. Double the heal

If you scroll down at the stat window you can see the actual changes to crit/crit damage values when you select a piece of equipment. :)

Okay, I think I'm done with the game for a while, maxed all classes, killed the final boss and made a nice build that can farm the arena.

It took me 40 hours of playtime, so big respect to Mika & Co for making one of the best RPGs for iOS.

I really hope there'll come countless premium paid expansions, so I can throw my money to them.

    A fun sidenote:
The RNG made quite a fun of me, when I got 4 Witherstrike weapons in a row as arena prizes... :)
