I really like this game but I got a few issues with it. 1. Pacing seems to be a issue. At the start of the game is a ton of quest and that starts petering out around level 8. Also a boss around level 19 would be nice. 2. I feel like leveling takes too long. I feel like higher level enemies give too little exp. I almost alway faster to grind lower level enemies that take 1/5 the time to kill but give 1/3 the exp, then it is to explore. At level 19 I'm can complete level 22 dungeons and not level up. It simply faster to grind spider queen all day. Grinding isn't nearly as fun as exploring new dungeons. 3. I want a respec option. 4. I wish there was more variety in shops. The shop at the castle is a one stop shopping center for all my needs. Kinda makes the other stores kinda pointless. 5. I wish more random events happened in the world map. I liked saving the dude in house from bandit (or robbing him). More stuff like that please. Saving lost children, talking to spooky ghost, just finding some mages being dumb, etc. The current events breathe a lot of life into the world. Overall though I am happy with my purchase and have put a quite few hours into the game.
Where can I get these better materials for the blacksmith? He says it's in the northwest area or something but none of them give those types of drops.
Here is a walkthrough link for all quests and locations for those of you struggling or missing things etc http://www.appunwrapper.com/2014/06/03/battleheart-legacy-world-map-npc-locations-and-quests-by-level HTH
Is it just me, or have I stopped running into the battlemage trainer after the latest patch? He just doesn't seem to pop up in the random ambush encounter anymore.
There is a lot to love about this game but the newest update seems to crash on my ipod 5g. The previous update never crashed at all. This is still fast becoming one of my favorite action RPGs but my one issue is not being able to pause at certain parts of the game (active battle for example). That is annoying but it is still awesome.
Yeah pausing would be good, must admit when i'm in the middle of a battle and i cant pause it its difficult telling the wife to wait till i i finish ! I'm on ios 7.04, i cant seem to adjust the volume in the game, only once i've quit it. Everytime i try increasing the volume just the ring volume adjusts not the app volume. Still loving this, level 19 now so theres a few new areas opened up plus i can go back and do some of the lower levels i had issues with before. Dont want this game to end !
Hey mika For the next patch please consider these.. iCloud fix. Ability to rename saves.. Two important features I think will make the game wholesome... I like to multiplay my characters but I can't remember all the save files
I'm agree with every point. Personally i have to stop playing because it's really too slow. I'm level 22 and i have to grind all the time... Anyway, i liked this game a lot! Finishing a game is not very important for me. I'm happy if i have a good time during a few days. Maybe i should try dragon quest VIII but i'm a bit afraid i have to grind a lot too.
How come I am only able to download one character from iCloud? Am I doing something wrong of is it a bug?
No kidding on the wife bit! Definitely risky to exit the app or sleep the device and come back in the middle of a battle. On the sound front, I have a different issue I haven't seen mentioned. About half the time, if not more, when the game has to start up there is no sound. I have to close the game and start it again which works every time. I get some arena crashes on respawn of a new monster group but that's much rarer than the sound thing. Otherwise it has been a solid experience.
Is it me or does the necromancy trainer quest seem a little out of place? When you return to the tower, it mentions that you can't account for the last few hours. Coupled with what the necromancer says, it implies that you were responsible for killing everyone. Then when I return after getting the spider glands, everything at the Mage academy is restored back to the way it was. The necromancer remains in the headmaster's room and nobody cares, much less notices. Just one of those inconsistencies? Or part of a larger subplot the game never got around to fleshing out fully?
When you are dual wielding and add an accessory that adds to weapon power, does it add to both weapons? In other words, are those good accessories to pair with dual wielding? I have to agree with the pausing and wives. I can only imagine my wife's response if I told her to hang on until I was done killing this group of goblins. She already complains that she is the only adult living in our house (to which she has a point)
This whole wife deal is hilarious! Makes you sound like a bunch of babies playing your little Battleheart Legacy when the game's graphics also look childish. One thing I don't understand about BL is the main storyline or lack thereof. Is there supposed to be a story? It's like I jump in and next thing you know I'm killing all these monsters left and right, but I don't know what the ultimate purpose is. I love my ninja/monk hybrid with flaming ninjato's and black ninja gi and the first two witch spells. It's all types of kick-ass.
Update, still crashes when getting good weapons Starting to get a little p*ssed now - This time I finally managed to complete a difficult four wave fight and an enemy dropped an awesome bow during the fight (something like Imperial Longbow, the strongest I've seen so far). I even considered leaving the area, so the game would save but didn't want to do the hard fight all over again and besides I had confidence the new update would have had fixed the crash issues. But of course, next area first fight with the new bow equipped, first shot, crash - Awesome bow gone and now having to do the whole dungeon including the difficult fight again all over anyway. This already bothered me, when the exact same thing happened with the ninjato two times but at least this weapon would have been available for purchase at a smithy. And for my Ranger/Rogue hybrid the best bow possible is more important anyways. Well, to sum up, that really sucks. I'm have an iPad Air, iOS 7.0.4 and the newest game update. Besides I have never encountered the summoning pet bug/crash yet - My game just likes to crash after I find important weapons and use them for the first time (+ 1 additional crash out of the blue - That's 'only' four crashes in 20 hours playing time. But the three of them with the weapons couldn't have happened at a worse time and don't seem to be a coincidence) Why isn't there a quick save option after fights anyway? With so many crashes encountered by different people, that wouldn't be too bad an idea. Greets
I agree that there shouldn't be crashes, but since all your crashes involve equipping new weapons in a dungeon, why not wait to equip good equipment you find till after the dungeon? I also play on an iPad Air, and I have no crashes at all, in probably 30 hours of gameplay. However, I never change equipment in dungeons. Not to avoid crashes, I just seem to only do it in the shop when I am selling and buying equipment.
