Having a lot of fun with a ninja/pally build in my new game+ slot. 52% crits and 3.1x crits effect combined witherstrike dual produce dmg burst over 3K. Handles final boss easily without using a single pot.
Weapon: Obsidian Soulcrusher Shield: Draconic Bulwark Armor: Aegis of the Pride Shackles of the Lost Crown of Sundering Skills: Mana Strike Arctic Weapon Flame Weapon Thundering Weapon Power Infusion Holy Word Radiance Shuriken Passive: Shield Training Chivalry Grit Armsman Lethality Might Probably not the best possible build but the best I found with what I had. The arctic and thundering weapons gave me two more long range attacks which really helped. And I used radiance and the flame weapon for the minions he calls in.
These are what I have found so far: Spoiler - witherstrike: ultimate 1 handed blade weapon - tombcaller: ultimate 1 handed dagger - divinity: ultimate 1 handed blunt weapon - feung's legacy: ultimate unarmed weapon - bael's bloodreaper: ultimate 1 handed axe - mad smith's doomblade: ultimate colossal weapon - the scourging inferno: ultimate staff - cowl of red fang: ultimate armor - robes of the shadowmancer: ultimate armor - mordoth doomplate: ultimate armor
I have all the wizard/witch/Necro skills unlocked, and I want to start branching off to other trees now. Was wondering what the pros/cons are of using a staff at this point? I keep staring at that Staff Wielder passive and wish I could replace it with something more interesting. Would all my magic suffer if I get rid of the staff? My current build revolves mostly around witch/Necro skills with a dash of wizard & charm. I don't think my staff itself is doing much work in the arena, but would it vastly affect spells like Tornado and Soul Mass? I'm assuming it also affects all the unholy magic effects? But it there a way to get rid of the staff and deal as much damage?
I think the lack of a level cap is a real problem with the game. When stats can just go up infinitely, there's no reference whatsoever as to how you have progressed. For example, there's no way to determine whether tweaking build has improved your performance or not, nor whether you've just beaten your personal record in the arena, or how you compare to other players of the game, because your character is constantly levelling. To this end, crunching numbers and min-maxing is pointless when you can forever get more of those stats. I think the game would benefit from an even playing field, rather than a freeform one.
The thing is there is no way to tell the base stat of a weapon. At least to my knowledge. The char sheet tells you the weapon/spell damage which already include benefits from your stats. So I can't tell you the spell power of scourging inferno that you will have with your character. What I can tell you for certain is it has better weapon & spell damage compared to the best staff available from merchant.
Same here, have been playing for a few hours tops and i can already tell i'm going to have a ton of fun with these classes.
Just wondering what the spell difference is from Abyss, as the difference between Abyss and the highest other stat staff at the vendor is +1 spell power more. Any chance someone owns Abyss and Scourging Inferno to see the difference? I am just wondering if it is even worth me grinding to get this staff to finish this game completely with my wizard character. Would be nice to cap it off with the best gear available in the game, but if it's only +1 sp more than the highest staff at the vendor that would be pretty anti-climatic. Even if Mika doesn't remove continuous leveling from the game, this could easily be fixed by implementing a way to turn off leveling/xp gain in options so that you can level cap on your own, any thoughts?
Hey I'm a level 14 Battlemage right now, and I'm having a lot of trouble finding quests. Any suggestions? There are no bounties available, the head of the guard at the capital is "getting paperwork" or something. I'm too weak to do the quest from the Mage Tower.
I listed all the quests and locations by level here, so that might help you. It is possible you may need to grind a bit, though, if you can't find any areas your level that you haven't completed.
Just beat the game last night and unlocked new game +. To those of you that have started a new game what level did you start over at? I'm debating on how many skills I should pick up before starting a new game.
