That Chaos guy had a point. Adding a loot aspect to the game (rare/unique/legendary) would definitely extend the endgame lifespan. To be honest, I was also expecting a bit more content at launch, but I'm still happy with the current product.

I guess one thing that I don't agree with is how New Game+ only keeps your skills. I feel players need a bit more of a boost to encourage replay to try out all kinds builds the game has to offer.

    Few ideas:

    - Increase exp % after every completion
    - Keep stats = level (1/3 of stats) on next run
    - Keep current equipment (but clear inventory/gold)

I would also pay for a stat reset. Perhaps make it an option for $1?

The game is great, especially for an IOS game (one of the best RPG onthe platform)

    However :
    - the party structure of the original BH was more interesting IMO

    - Lack of sidequest leads to some heavy grinding.

    - current replay value remains quite low because of the way character development is handled : it should not be possible to get all skills on 1 single character. Limiting multiclassing to 2-3 class or adding a level cap could be a good solution.

    - NG+ need to be a more challenging mode

As it is, once you get your godlike character (around 15 hours of game, which is quite good), all that is left to do is to farm the arena. And let's face it, it's quite boring, mainly because of OP combos

    Killed steward on crazy mode

im a level 31 monk and I gotten all three solar shards , but I killed the steward with crazy mode on to get exp. now I have the quest exclamation mark on the castle and I can't see anyone in there. Am I screwed? Is there a way to bring him back so I can complete the game? I know I shouldn't on crazy mode but if this interferes with game progress then it's really screwed up....

I'm loving this game, i'm taking my time with it, cant believe people are completing it already.

Done a bit of grinding but just taking my time with it, really good game. I'm sure the dev will give us more side quests with an update etc.

Amazing value, played about 5 hours with it so far and its great, hats off to the dev

    Feature request

I have a feature request: can the weapon type be stated in the item description? It is not always evident to me if something is a sword or a dagger.

I suppose I could back up to iCloud, purchase and see what it is and restore incase it isn't what I was expecting. That just seems unnecessarily complicated for something that is so easy to fix.

Or you could make a copy of the savegame directly in BHL :)
On the load game screen: hit the cog icon, and then the green plus with the two pages.

I think daggers always have a greenish background, while other 1H melee weapons always have a blueish background.

But I agree, it would be very helpful if the descriptions also listed the type of weapon for the purposes of skills and abilities. :)

Bug with changing from colossal or staff ability

I found I'd consistently crash when changing from colossal passive ability to something else if I had a colossal weapon still in the weapon slot. Once I figured it out , I Unequipped before changing. Then I found the same thing, crashed completely out of the game, when changing from the passive staff wielding ability if I still had a staff in the slot. Though I haven't retried that one to see if it happens again.

I think after browsing through this thread I saw one other user only mention this.

I just finished the game the other evening and overall - a great game and definitely a GOTY contender. There's much to love here and can't believe it was made by such a small team. Would love to hear how Mika Mobile pulled this off!

The only negatives: early on the game pulls you into the world by varied and interesting quests but after passing about level 10, I was done with them all. From then on, I pretty much just ran around the world map and tackled whichever area was suitable for my character's level. The game would have benefited greatly, in my opinion, if it had more of those side quests instead of just running to an area, killing everything, get the chest and teleport out. It was still fun, but additional quests would have given it that extra oomph.

I beat the game while concentrating mostly on necromancer/wizard/witch skills. I usually never replay the same game twice but I will give this a go as I want to try a knight/ninja/rogue type of build. So much to enjoy here as the different skills do alter your playing style!

wateracid: yeah, you're screwed. The game did warn you about Crazy Mode!

Didn't experience that specific crash, but I did get ejected out of a game when in the Lost Woods on an iPad Air. Happened consistently for about 3 times.

Did the same level on iPhone 4S and no issues. Afterwards went back to iPad and other dungeons were fine.

Maybe swap to another device if you can.

Great game but crashes are stopping me from playing so far. Random crash on ranger leads me to believe too many summons cause crash. Proceed to play monk. Crash on ice giant once he uses that sword skill.

Can anyone tell me which character has a better chance of not crashing? (iPhone 5s)

  14. Once again, my mummy stands around (or just follows me) while there are plenty of things for him to fight. He seems to also try and come to me any time I use a skill. Look at the photo below to see what I mean. Is he supposed to work like this? I need him to distract my enemies, not follow me around like a lost puppy. The skeletons don't come to me unless there's nothing left to kill. Is there something I'm missing here?

Cool, I didn't know that. But it is still too complicated for something that could be solved by adding an extra line of text.

I'm color blind, I hadn't yet noticed the difference in background color. I will see if I can detect the difference know that I know what to look for. Thanks!

Directions for those confused about Lost Woods.

Speak to the spirit at the start and head in. From here you have 4 directions (up, down, left, right), you want to take the Right path 10 times and you will reach a gold chest.

After this head back out, now go Up 4 times and you will reach a location with a spirit and silver chest, now you can warp back out.

Yes! That's my biggest gripe with the game. The core is just so good it makes you want more robust content around it.

I bet if the game was in the oven for 6 more months they would be able to add a nice overarching story and a ton of sidequests, making the game much, much better overall. See people, this is why you don't rush devs!

I personally see way more value in this game in terms of quality and potential. I dont know Mika's future plans, but i imagine future iterations of this game could be a party system - with other players. That seems way more interesting to me than just managing my own party.

And while i do agree what others have said in that the game is too easy with giving you all classes and how it handles NG+, this is just the way to devs wanted it. This game is slightly casual as was BH. I remember everyone saying there wasn't enough loot in that game, that they wanted more content, classes, and to split gear into helm/chest/legs/arms. The approach is casual on purpose. The problem is that they make the game so polished that hardcore players love it just as much and sink their teeth in so quick.

All that said, i would love Mika to expand their team, charge more for their games, and give us something long term. This has really laid the groundwork for it. Keep the same environments, limit classes, let us play in MP with others when we quest and charge us more. I think they could easily charge us as much as any FF title as long as the content is there. I imagine this as the WoW for handheld the way it should be done as long as its large enough to encompass it.

    Just my 2 cents though.

The mummy works much like the dog; you need to select the enemy to attack. Skelly works like enemies you charm or hit with mass hysteria; they auto-attack enemies that are close. Not sure why it was designed this way, but i suppose it for flavor as well as giving you a bit of control over your pet.

All that said, by your picture you are moving with no enemy selected. Thats why your mummy is running with you :)
