This is a great game. I can't wait to get an iPad and play this on it! Right now I'm running with Shepherd, Edwardo, Robin, and Lucille. All those AoE heals make life lots easier :)

Anyway, I've noticed a "bug" on the final boss.

    *potential spoilers*

I'll try to do this with as little spoilers as possible, but when he does one of his attacks that knocks you around, if your character is on the very top or bottom of the screen, they can go out of the screen. They are still active (e.g. when it happens to Lucille, she will continue healing, but I will not be able to click on her because she is not there). I will try to post a picture when I can. This is on an iPhone 4 if that helps at all.

Other than a few crashes that happened when I got the "Battery life @ 20%" message, I haven't had any problems.

This seemed like a promising 'light and cute' game. Had fun for the first 40 minutes, until hitting the guy riding the boar level. Is it fun to replay the same level five times and still lose? No. It's at this point I hit the delete app button. Ridiculous difficulty level. I'm barely a third through the first map. I got this for 2 bucks, but 40 minutes of play is not worth it to me. Needs a serious leveling adjustment. I'm not about to start reading strategy guides.

Wow. I thought the current generation was spoiled, but this really takes the cake.

Maybe we should program it so that you can hit the button at random, and it shouts out, "You're the Man!" and, "We Bow to Your Greatness".

I'm not about to start taking Shatner's hairpiece seriously.

Light and cute graphics + serious gameplay = win

It's not a game for kids; it's a game for people who understand strategy and are willing to invest their efforts into understanding what does and does not work.

You're better off quitting right now than getting frustrated at it because you haven't read a few suggestions given by members here. If you do decide to stick with the game, you'll be glad you did in a few hours.

Some strategy for you to start out with, just to ease your pain of having to search through this thread:

    1. Pick a balanced squad.

    Healer = cleric
    Tank = monk or knight
Spell Caster = wizard (preferable over the witch)
Damage Dealer = rogue (preferable over the barbarian IMO)

    2. Go back to earlier levels - level up, get better items, then tackle the harder levels.

    3. MICRO MANAGE properly! Get your healer and wizard set up in proper positions so they aren't in the heat of the action - pump out your damage-dealers' powers to mow down the opposition asap.

You did know you were purchasing an RPG, I hope? Even though Battleheart is not your traditional RPG, the base of any RPG is leveling-up characters and upgrading equipment, while working out a strategy as things and enemies get progressively tougher.

The Boar level you are speaking of is actually a 'boss level', so the difficulty is upped purposely.

It's very ironic, you should be happy that you are not finished with the game in 40 minutes.

Battle games always gain attractions from boys. I really like it. I can control and use strategies to win the game, to develop my troop and so on. Really great.

    Don't mash the buttons/units.

    Grind your characters more.

Move your characters away from bombs.
Get the boss attacking your tanker, get your cleric healing your tanker, and everyone else attacking the boar.

If you still can't get past this level, despite how ridiculously simple and straightforward it is, it's not for you; and it probably won't be productive for you to continue posting how you can't get past the level.

Hello? Is crashing part of the boss level i need to beat? Do i need to buy a certain weapon that will prevent the app from crashing? Which one is it? Please read before posting. The key word here is 'crash'. If you're now going to to tell me its my fault that the app crashes, this just made my goty.

    Here...
    Try using:
    Cleric
    Bard
    Monk
DPS Character of your choice (Witch/Wizard/Barbarian/Rogue)

Buy them gear at the merchant

Try leveling them a bit on the map to the left and up of the boar map.

Cleric should heal the monk at all times. Use the clerics first skill to heal the rest of the party when needed. Situate your Cleric and Bard at the bottom of the screen.

Bard should buff the DPS character for more damage.
Dps should be taking no damage itself as the monk should attack everything which there is using its skill.
The DPS should be attacking the boar at all times.

Remember to move your characters around when the bomb comes.

Remember if they are over lv 5 they have unlocked another skill which you have to manually pick before it can be used.

    Hope it helps!

I'm all for expressing opinions here, but if you're going to berate the game then we've already heard you the first time you posted about this game.

From what I gather the majority of people around here have generally positive experiences after the most recent patch (v1.05) was applied, which fixed the more pressing bugs causing the game to crash.

If you are genuinely looking for a solution instead of just ranting, then you should direct your concerns through to the official avenue for mikamobile questions and support: [email protected]

And you are who? The TSA? Scanning for bad impressions? Lets count. There are 87 pages of thread. There's no shortage.
First comment: valid frustration at difficulty level. I paid for the game. I played the game. Im entitled to an opinion. What is this? An asskissing thread only? Take a pill. Its not like i come here every day complaining about the game. I just started playing it today and I'm not happy with repetitive level bashing, especially so early in a game.

2nd comment: total disgust at another hour wasted after 'redoing early levels' killing the boar and then having the game crash. Really, at this point, who in their right mind would give this game/any game another chance?

3rd comment: contact the developer? Why? I'm sure they read this forum. Game deleted, refund made, and more wasted time saved. It is a shame because I was enjoying the game. I just cannot believe a game this buggy has made it to the top ten. Obviously, the patch needs more work.

You seem to keep playing and posting about it. Does this mean you aren't in your right mind?

Something similar happened to me- I had 2 skeleton clerics left. I had a knight and a monk but it was at such a high level that the skeletons clerics' power and healing was too strong!
Eventually I managed to kill them though, with the bard's war song and using the knight's cleave and monk's windwalk. It took forever though :)

Another feature request- to be able to deselect all characters. The skill icons on the top left hide my characters when they're there (and the life bar of the characters below it). And on the same note- if the party members icons idea is implemented, have the icons display the characters' health.

I seem to keep playing? How do you do that after 1) the game crashes during first boss battle 2) you've deleted the game? I played until it crashed and then i deleted it. No, i don't secretly keep playing games after i delete them.

Wow. What is the average age here? 12? I'll make a note of your accomplishments and send it to the Nobel commitee for this year's short list.

You said it yourself, you were able to attempt the boar boss 10 times before you got a crash.

Not all crashes are the apps fault you know, there are many times when the app seems to 'crash' when the device is running out of memory (just an example, I don't know what caused your crash obviously).

I've managed to play through the game twice on an iPhone3g and have not experienced a single crash.

Yeah, I agree. I struggled with the Boar until I swapped the knight for a Monk (Bard, Cleric, Wizard).
