I also want some elite classes, but something more like the skill sistem that battlehearth already uses: at level 30 you can upgrade the character into 2 advance classes, you train one and if you want a diferent strategy you can switch to the other class between missions.
More attack, health, and defense. I'd like for a slight decrease in cooldown time every 10 levels after 30. Maybe 1 second?
Nope. You get +1 atk/defense per level... lol. And that +1 does approximately 1% more damage and receives 1% less damage, which in gameplay terms, means absolutely nothing.
Actually you get +15 hp which at level 40 is +150 hp allowing you to not be 1 hit by any attack in the game.
Yes it does. The Cleric needs to be at least 45 to barely survive a hit. My level 70 Cleric always dies last during the arena. I've reached a highscore of 110 kills in Doomsvale.
I believe -6 CD trinkets are the best for Cleric/Baird. For the Rouge I believe 15% critical are the best. For all tanks I believe either -CD or -15% chance for no cooldown. Mage can use +att or -CD or -15% chance for no cooldown. I never use + att or + def anymore. the Life drain helps only if your under level 40 and want to do no cleric exp runs.
I personally prefer -6 CD for all characters due to its consistency. The +% crit ONLY FOR ROUGE because then the % is so high it's well worth it. You can use +% no cool down only if you don't mind the inconstistency. In my opinion +% no cool down, -6 CD, and +20% exp are the only useful trinkets as of right now.
Thanks for responding. Alright, so the defense stat mainly refers to how much damage it receives from enemies based on your illustration. What about the unit's actual health? Do we have information on what the base health for each unit class is and how much it increases per level up?
In that case, can you set it up so that when health drops below, say, 20%, a character automatically gets rendered at the top layer?
Loving this game, almost missed my tube stop this morning because of it! I think Battleheart 2 should be fleshed out with a full RPG storyline and quest system. In fact, just take the combat mechanics and add them on to the baldurs gate 2 storyline
No kidding, or make a Battleheart MMRPG borrowing the same combat engine with each player controlling one character. Form a party for quests. Sort of like Final Fantasy XI.
Could be a good idea, but I somehow don't think controlling just one character throughout a battle would be engaging enough. As for future updates, I'm still going for character-driven or class-specific-driven side quests and stages that require 2 separate parties (and 2 battles) to complete. I think it'd be great if the battles and side quests would encourage the player to utilize and develop different available unit classes. With a character-driven side quest, you would have to bring along for example Baelrosh throughout the side quest (as also a way to develop his character more through a mini-story) or maybe as simple as "bring 2 rogues." As for 2 parties in one stage, one would have to manage at least 8 units (not at the same time of course) and carefully pick which 4 to go to the first battle and which 4 for the next battle. Again, these suggestions are primarily more for character-development or to encourage players to experiment, utilize, and enjoy all the available units/characters in the game.
It's tough to say whether the rough should go +crit or +haste. +crit seems like an obvious choice because of it's +crit ability and I assume the rogue has a higher innate +crit. But the fact that the crit can only proc off of an autoattack as well as the rogue having a stun off autoattack, speeding up their attacks to get more procs would probably be more beneficial than just increasing the crit rate.
Love the game I love this game. My favorite iPhone game right now. Played for 3 hours straight last night. Please don't listen to any of these frodos on here about making a friggin MMO or any of that crazy stuff. Just update the game with more levels and more gear. That's all you have to do to keep this game going. I would even pay a buck or two for that additional content!
