Well ive got 5 hours played... ive leveld about 6 classes now and enjoying the knight/berz/mage/cleric combo. Unfortunately I can't help but find that most of my fails now are UI related. This was quite apparent on the big slim mold boss when the user interface totally failed me in a) quickly moving my characters out of slim and b) quickly and accurately burning down the small slimes by targeting one at a time. Touch to select and slide dosn't work well when you have 4 of your characters and 4+ enemies on the screen, especially on a 3 and a half inch screen. the fact that it takes me several tries to equip gear because the item never drops ontop of the inventory slot box is proof the UI isn't smart enough to estimate your target. We need a party selector, and we need to be able to issue commands by selecting the party member via the button, and then tapping the intended target on the screen. no slides, and no party targeting in the play field (unless its heals) as it invalidate attack commands with party switches.
Yes I agree often when one of my party members die it's because I couldn't slide him out of a bunch of enemies on me or when I try to heal him/her but only to find that I just missed or healed another member that's close by. Anyways I like how the rpg elements are in the game and all the weapons, characters, and content just make my time playing this game long. It's fun and addicting. I got to say this is the longest 2d game I've ever played on my ipod. with cut the rope close behind it. Very good buy
It will increase the healing the cleric receives... but honestly no one uses this trinket as it is a complete waste....
Since no one answered, I'll ask again, do you prefer Barbarian or Rogue? What items are best for both players? Also, I'm not sure if this was put in the upcoming update or the previous update, but I'll say it anyways. I'm using the most recent version of Battleheart but I just experienced another use-skill-after-death crash. I wanted to get more XP for my wizard and try to wait to cast my fireball until the very end, but my Knight took the kill and the game crashed because the fireball had no target. I know the developer is aware of this crash but I'm not sure if it was already fixed or not. If it already was, well, I guess more fixing needs to be made.
The UI is PERFECT the way it is, I've never had any problems, and I have huge hands... Have you thought "maybe it isin't the UI, it's just me?"
Does your knight have the level 30 skill? That's the only one that is glitched. There's also only a crash on the slime boss and that's EXTREMELY rare. 1/100 runs and it might crash once. The Barbarian and the Rouge are bad in my opinion. Their both DPS and I'd rather use monk and buff him with cleric and baird with a wizard/witch as the supporting guy. The Rouge is better than the Barbarian against single monsters depending on your build though the Barbarian can pack a massive dps burst but die quite easily. The Barbarian does the most DPS out of all characters, but the Rouge has highest critical/damage in 1 hit out of all characters. If I HAD to pick one I'd pick the Barbarian.
No? But I digress, maybe its just me who would rather have accurate controls in my rpg games. I am a bit spoiled with wow. ^^
Unless you are deliberately creating a dexterity challenge, then the goal of the UI is to enable everyone to translate their intentions into actions efficiently. If it works for you, but not for someone else, then it's falling short of the goal.
Seems like there's still quite a bit of work to be done in terms of UI and gameplay decisions. Should I hold off playing this until then?
No, I wasn't using my Knight's skill. (He's not level 30 anyways) It was my wizard's fireball spell that caused the crash. My knight took the kill off a regular attack, not a special. Also, thanks for the feedback. Hmm, I had a strategy question as well as a technical question. Should I post it in the game's official thread or in a strategy help thread? So obviously, this is it.
Well which one the fire spell or the third fire ball spell. That one (third) caused me to crash on the slime boss like 4 times out of 600 runs. Also the barbarian is consistent. The Rouge deals with too many %'s for my liking.
No. This game is epic I have put in about 8 hours, and the UI and gaemplay stuff that need to be changed are very miniscule in the overall picture. You should buy this game now and support the developers In truth I have really no problems, I love the game I want only a way to unscatter my team, and gamecenter! I dont mind paying via IAP for more stuff later too!
It was the first one. And yeah, it seems like the Barbarian is a better player to use versus the Rogue.
I have over 20 hours now and I still have yet to find any tier 8 cleric armor/weapon... I've spent atleast 5 hours looking for it... killing the last boss over and over again... Anyone have it?
You're better off going to the arena. ^ You can get tier 8 on the last boss but only tier 9 is available through the arena.
There needs to be a fix I get more trinkets than anything else. No trinkets should come from arena or the last boss unless there are tier 3/4 trinkets created that are not store purchasable.
I completely agree, it's annoying going at least 60 rounds in the final arena and getting a trinket easily purchased from the merchant
