Fair enough. I know once it comes to life, it'll be just as awesome as the other character classes. Can't wait to see her in action. ;)

I'll go ahead and say that I like the idea of a female pally tank. But then again, my pally was female.

On a different note, could I make the suggestion to look into balancing the Cleric vs the Bard? I really want to use the Cleric, but as it currently is, she's basically inferior to the Bard in every aspect except when you're really low level, or if you want to AFK-grind. Once the Bard gets his level 30 skill, his AoE healing is just loads better than the Cleric's, his single-target healing is already not that much behind at that point, and he has a group HoT+buff which can have 100% uptime (given the correct trinkets). On the other hand, the Cleric has a weak ST buff, weak AoE heal, and good auto-ST heals. These just aren't even comparable in my mind.

I think it chalks up to preference really, I like the cleric a bit better because of his auto heals and being able to easily switch targets, along with when you might get overwhelmed, you can throw him into overdrive at healing and he's invincible for that 15 seconds, so late in the arena you can worry about juggling the other monsters instead of having to worry about him for a bit.

On a side note, I'd be curious as to whether or not a Final Fantasy Tactics-esque hiring could be added. So randomly after a battle, a new character becomes available at the tavern that's a color change over an existing person so that you could double/triple some classes and could then present some interesting challenges like an all rogue challenge or at lvl 20, an all cleric.

I just think it would add quite a bit of replayability and I'd kill to have a cleric team that was red/blue/green/black just for kicks :p

1.0.3 (submitted yesterday) addresses some of the healer discrepancy actually, I definitely agree that the bard is a bit obscene at high level. The clerics splash heal has been buffed substantially, and the heal over time song for the bard has gotten toned down (20% less healing and +10 sec on the cooldown). I think he still might be too good, but well see.

    Would be awesome if:

    1. you could replay the storyline in hard mode.
    2. a new skill was added at level 40 and 50.
    3. the new classes had to be obtained other than by hitting a certain level. Would be much cooler if you had to do something difficult to unlock them (e.g. hitting a certain number of kills in an arena; beating the last boss without any casualties; beating the game in hard mode; beating the game in regular mode; etc.).

    Just wondering

    • Is there any way to make several members attack the same person? Or the only way is going one by one?
    • How can I heal the healer?

    ACK!!!!

Ok so it still continues to crash on "Time-Lost Canyon"

iPod touch 2nd gen. iOS 4.2.1

Still having crashes, I'm not frantically calling in spells so I don't know what's going on. The only thing I know is that it has something to do with the Red Slimes, I don't have the Witch, and I'm not doing that line drawing enemy dying thing, so I'm at a loss here.

Would be nice if the rogue had a disengage ability. Hr is almost just like the berserker. It's funny, I feel like the berserker is built on speed and the rogue on crits, but the berserker has a passive crit boost while the rogue has a passive speed boost.

A double tap on a mob would be a nice way to have everyone engage him. Also would help with the quick swipes which end up making your ranged combatants walk to the monster by accident than attack.

two finger tap over a unit to select multiple units would be nice, and if not selecting multiple units, a two finger tap could also be a "sticky" highlight. Once highlighted, you tap the target, rather than having to draw a line to it.

Bah, nerfing my bard already? I changed over to bard from cleric at level 43. I don't think the bard needed to be nerfed but the cleric needed some love to make him more appealing.

The bard is harder to play since you constantly have to twist songs.

Guess I'll wait on the new toons before upgrading so my bard can keep living it up.

I have a level 38 Bard and I have to disagree. I don't think he's too strong by any means. He's my favorite character, but pound for pound, the Cleric is absolutely the better healer.

The Bard makes up for his lower heal efficiency by having some nice power buffs and such.

But If you're going to do any further tinkering, I think you're much better off buffing the Cleric a tiny bit more.

I'm on my second playthrough, this time playing without the Bard. As much as I enjoyed his contribution to the party in the first run-through, replacing Bard with DPS or an off-tank definitely makes my party feel a fair bit stronger.

HEck, I'd go one further: once you're good at cycling healing using only the Cleric, the bard becomes a weakness. Since having a dedicated DPS class is going to increase the overall killing power of your party (again, only once you've mastered healing techniques)

On the flipside, having the Bard be your only healer hasn't worked for me. Mainly because he's not quite efficient enough, lacking the free river of HP due to the Cleric auto attack.

    Anyway, that's my 2c

Very frustrating with so many crashes even with update and reset. I used precise slow line drawing for targeting and still crashes. I can never play this game more than 10-15 minutes because of crashes. Great game, but still very disappointed.

Completely off topic, but what are some of the rare items people have gotten from farming last boss and arenas?

I see you guys are #40 in the top paid charts in iTunes. That is great for any app, but especially a $2.99 one! I hope you keep raking in the funding!

Battleheart is easily my second favorite game on the app store (after Space Miner) and a few additions could easily make it my favorite (more classes, more maps, GC achievements, etc). I would happily pay for $.99 expansions each with one new class and one new 'world' with a couple new mobs.

Time to hire a few more peeps Mika :)

quick question. sorry i didn't want to look through 101 pages to find an easy answer for this. i appreciate it!

do you gain XP for members not in the party during a battle? or do i have to keep subbing out my characters to keep them around the same level.
