its a good game.. but it was spoil by the crashes.. played about 30 times today and crashes about 25 times...hope the next update will come fast...
You know the crashes are caused by spasmodic/multiple clicks, right? Probably your mostly crashing at a boss or in stressful situations. If you try to click and draw carefully, 90% of your crashes will go away. You wont be able to entirely eliminate them, but you should be able to dramatically reduce them. The game is quite playable as is -- I just wouldnt play the first arena with level 30 characters...too big an investment of time to lose to a crash.
Battleheart does quicksave and fast switch . Now, Mika, please update Zombie and IMG to fast switch! And if you can't, thank you for making Battleheart fast switch - icing on the cake that makes it all the easier to play and play
it's definitely not just that. the first days i had little crashes but yesterday and today it crashed at least every ten minutes. sometimes i didn't have my finger on the screen at all. i also reset the ipod before playing. BUT i guess the update will help. i also gotta say that i love the balance of the game... in the battleheart strategies thread the players come up with all kinds of party-combinations and not only with one perfect combination. love it
yea It cant only be the random quick movements, because i have crashed during the downtime between arena mobs spawning quite consistently
"Spasmodic movements" is an oversimplification of what is causing seemingly random crashes in Battleheart, and not really the root cause. Rest assured that the devs know what is going on, they can reproduce it at will, and the update - if it EVER shows up in the App Store - should clear it up.
The update should be out today. I've played for over 10 hours and I've only crashed 4 times. Game froze 3 times too. There's a slime boss glitch that should be addressed in the next patch after this one. Hopefully...
So this is testing after the fix? There's still random crashes? Of course, 4 times over 10 hours is not bad, but just wondering. If you're great at being able to avoid the crashes as some in other posts have indicated I was just wondering if the fix is really doing something. BTW, I LOVE the game, just have been shying away from playing it after I unsuccessfully avoid crashes during the boar boss.
The update is out, but it seems that there are still crashes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/battleheart/id394057299?mt=8 Note: we've isolated an issue causing a few players to experience random crashes during battle, and an update will arrive very soon, thanks for your patience! What's New in Version 1.0.2 - Fixed crash which could result from rapid selection of characters. - Fixed crash that could occur from enemy targeting AI - Fixed crash which occur on the map screen when attempting to start a battle with no level selected - Added arrow indicators on the merchant and armory menus to make it easier to see what items are upgrades/downgrades for your current party.
Well it's simple really. Move all your units into the 4 corners and then target things slowly and don't use rapid finger motions. The update will remove all major crashes. It's not out yet. It's all about playstyle. I just don't spam and go crazy like I normally would. I play the way the game needs me to play so it won't crash. I want to progress and not have to wait lolz.
The "note" at the top was left over from before just so ya know, the update only just went live minutes ago so we hadn't gotten around to changing the app description just yet. We're pretty sure that the bugs we found related to input and AI were causing most of the issues people have run into so far - my initial explanation of why "spastic taps" were the source of the problem was a gross oversimplification. There are still a few rarer bugs in 1.0.2 that are already fixed in our next update (1.0.3) which includes some additional bug fixes and balance tweaks. I'll probably submit that today. Here's the list of 1.0.3 fixes/changes so far: - All special moves are now capable of dealing critical hits. - Lucille's Vengeful Angel Aura deals 200% more damage and has greater knockback force. - Life Draining effects can no longer accidentally revive a dead player. - The Witch's Life Drain now heals the ally with the lowest percentage of health, not simply the lowest value. - Fixed a crash caused by using Feung's Wind Walk at certain times. - Life Draining items have been increased in potency. - Fixed a rare bug which could cause two items to drop from a single arena battle. If you have any reproducible issues that aren't addressed in 1.0.2 and aren't on that list, let me know.
Another bug I have seen is that you can revive characters with the bards first ability just as they die, however you lose control over them
Good to see on the life draining items having more potency. Makes non-cleric parties a little more viable. 2 berserkers and 2 rouges need all the help they can get. Any chance, that before any major updates we can get more duplicate characters? Or would that throw gameplay balance off too much if there were two clerics to choose from or two witches.
