Official Battleheart Message Board? Hey guys - I just got the game today. Loving it. Is there going to be official msg board for this game? I tried finding what other people are using as party strategies and took forever to read through all the pages. Search function can only do so much. Speaking of strats: I'm trying out a party that nobody else seems to be using. I have Healer, 2 Wizard for DPS, Monk for Tank. Seem to be pretty decent. I made it to lvl 54 on my first arena try. My one wizard died and didn't have enough DPS to push through the harder levels. My strat is to have monk draw aggro while he's being healed. While the two wizards pound on the mobs. They use fireball when the mobs are grouped up. Monk will use 1000 hands if more aggro is needed the ki blast is pretty sweet. Also, walking in circles while two wizards blast is pretty effective. Has anyone tried this in comparison to DPS parties? Alot of people seem to be using the all Melee party w/ rogue as DPS. Thoughts?
Hey Mika I've just registered to Toucharcade to tell you how I love this game, it's absolutely fantastic, and I'm also excited to hear that you'll continue to support the game with new stuff in the future, couple of questions: 1) +% items obviously become better as you progress through the game, but what about +number items like the +3 armor gauntlets or the +3 spellpower rings maybe they should be upgradeable like the armor/weapons? 2) Do the heroes have "behind the scenes" stats that are upgraded with each level up? Loving the skill selection but I'd be happier if there would've been something to do after each level up. 3) Additional heroes: I've already played to about level 10 with a party of Knight, Rogue, Wizard and the Cleric, when I've noticed more heroes in the tavern...but they're lowbies? I understand that they should be lower than your party, but any chance of their levels progressing slightly behind the heroes, so for example, I won't have to level up the witch from the ground up just to try her out. 4) Kinda like (3), I understand that the cleric is almost must have in the party, but I really like the monk as a tank, I'd like an option of picking him instead of the knight as a tank, maybe first time you're "in town", have the cleric automatically in your party and have the knight and the monk in the tavern with just enough money to recruit one of them with a tutorial window of the cleric saying something along the lines of "I'll need someone strong to accompany me through these woods, one of those strong heroes in the tavern will do!" (Of course, your wording should be better, hehe, English isn't my first message) Keep on making awesome games! Murka
Hey, well i use the same formation except for a bard instead of a cleric, why? because it gives my monk a 50% damage boost + the amount of attack my bard has = epic damage by my monk. i then use my witch and wizard standing next to my bard to damage ranged enemies and any enemies which get near.
Yup. The "attack" (err, "power") value of the Cleric is used for the auto-heals, kind of like how the power value for the Bard is used for his auto-buffs. Also in response to a question about leveling up and stats. I have no idea exactly what stats are affected "under the covers" but I did notice that going up in a level on one of my characters resulted in additional points in power and defense (1 each). This was my knight and it was not a multiple of 5 level. So going up a level will add additional stats for sure, but you of course only get new skills every 5 levels. As an aside I actually like the fact that you can change the skills your party members have when in the town. Its really no different than redoing character rebuilds that most MMO's have - just that its free and streamlined. Its very helpful with boss fights...
Spreading the Love... First time for everything. This game has such potential based on the discussion of this board (and some of what you hinted at), that I just gifted this damn thing to 5 of my friends...which i NEVER do. Good luck, team.
Cool! Good to hear all of the above. As long as you're tweaking items, I think you may want to consider increasing the Broken Stopwatch effect. 5% of autoattacking (on, say, the Monk's passive knockdown ability) is decent, since he'll do that in a pretty short time span. But 5% of skill usage means there will be an awful lot of battles where the stopwatch effect doesn't even proc. Maybe it's upgradable, I don't know. I'm only in my teen levels. But there are a couple other similarly underwhelming accessories.
I used Knight, Cleric, Monk, Wizard combo to beat him. The trick is to destroy the baby slimes as quick as possible, so using the Knight as a tank, the monk to do with 'punch everyone' ability, the wizard the do mega damage to 1 specific baby slime until his death, and so on. It was tough, but I did it with each character about level 10. You may have better luck with the barbarian as you can do more damage to a single unit.
Trust me you owe it to yourself and the dev to buy this. Its easily one of the best iOS games around and the devs listen to feedback and suport the game which is more than can be said of some companies. plus they make good games if your into that.
Oh, I was just kidding. This game is already an instant-buy for me as soon as the update for the crashing is live.
It should be an insta-buy for you already, just don't tap like crazy on boss battle and stay calm (I crashed only one time on the first boss and never happened to me again )
I don't really see the difference. I'm going to paying the full $2.99 to the developer either way, so I'd rather do it when the stable version is out.
But, if your positive your going to get it. Might as well start now and get some of the game done and get ready for boss battles. Like train your character while waiting
