The issue with another tab button is that the screen is already pretty crowded. I still think "pinch in" to gather everyone, and "pinch out" to spread everyone out will be a better solution.
i still disagree with leaderboards because you can level up, come back and completely DOMINATE the first arena.. it wouldnt be fair to later adopters of the game. the playing field has to be Even. going by some of the abilities.. i think the stacking issue was intentional. you should def. try to keep members of your team from overlapping as a part of your strategy. (i was only playing with a team of two so i didn't fully understand) 4 members are very powerful and carry many advantages but a Downside to it would be.. they're MUCH harder to manage. whereas my team of two, being clearly at a disadvantage in certain situations (that i've overcome) are much, MUCH easier to manage. EDIT: for those who dont understand or might disagree.. abilities such as the Knight's Yell or the Monk's.. blue explosion thing scatter enemies allowing your overlapping team to separate.
Im running with The Monk, the second knight, cleric and bard. My strategy is quite simple but effective. Im loving the game so much. I have tried other classes too. The pirate, rogue and wizard are all high enough in level. My highest is the monk which is 17. He is my favourite I think.
Congratulations on being the second game to be incorporated in my signature "MUST-HAVE games list" for 2011. Serious business!
Pinching leaves where your units disperse up to chance, and is therefore less desirable in more situations than it would be of use. A small button in the left hand corner is nothing, especially since the screen isn't being taxed for real estate as you imply. Furthermore screen real esate is a moot point when played on an ipad. A tabbing button to cycle units plx!
Your party Quick question before I buy. Is your party controlled by AI or do I have to tap them all for them to fight, heal, etc? Thanks.
I have a really general, basic question about the game. I don't have much experience in the RPG/real time strategy genre. Solomon's Keep and now Dungeon Raid are as complicated as I can manage. So I was wondering if this game would be relatable/understandable/fun. I get the impression that it's more focused towards strategy and stat management than towards action and fighting. Is this the case? Thanks in advance for any feedback. I'll probably get the game either way because I really liked OMG Pirates and Battleheart's icon needs to be on my phone.
Yes I think more so on building a perfect party and using them well. I prefer to have my mage always moving.
Your party members usually auto-target the nearest opponent only when the enemy is close. Otherwise, you have to tap them to do everything. Nope, skills and equips are easy to manage and can be changed at any time. It's a very simple game, actually.
Thanks. So even if I'm a little vague on skills vs. abilities vs. items and am unsure about what differentiates the classes of characters, Battleheart's still something I can get the hang of? Really appreciate the feedback.
Its easy, start your touch on your cleric, then drag it away from cleric, and touch your cleric again and remove your finger. Imagine something like dragging away a little from your cleric and touch him/her again. Then you can heal your own cleric.
Maybe I'm a good person to advise you, because I often cant get into overly complicated games either. This one isnt overly complicated, is very approachable, and if you like Solomon's Keep/Boneyard, this should be lots of fun for you as well.
Ugh I'm loving this game so much but I need someone to play the level with the giant spiders for me. Can anyone mention if they're only in that one level at the beginning or if they're pervasive throughout the whole game?
It's a very good game if you don't play a lot of RPGs or don't like them as the stats, items abilities are all straight forward. But there's still enough to it which is nicely balanced.
That's a boss fight I'm pretty sure, and the worlds change so they are only on that map. If you have trouble, go back and grind some easier ones for xp to unlock more helpful skills.
