I have had a great time with this game so far, but there are some serious problems with the game crashing. Today i had the opportunity to play a good amount (three hours). During this time the game crashed 9 times. I logged in to also say unfortunately this last time it crashed it locked up my ipod touch and i had to reboot.
this game is awesome! so far i havent encountered any bugs, except it did crash once in my 3hrs of gameplay couple of suggestions the skills on the top left, occassionally if ur hero is in that area, its quite difficult to tap on them with the skills in the forefront and also sometimes when heroes overlap each other, its difficult to tap a different character u got to move a character away before u can tap the one behind my suggestion is tat maybe u could make the skills into smaller icons, and add 4 heroes portrait for fast character switch
Somethings to report now that Ive spent quite a bit of time with the game. Crashes... once, during the Hog boss fight, the final few seconds where frantic healing and spelling is going on, the game crashes. Repeated again, no crash, successfully passed it, without even restarting my iPad. Control, its great, sure when characters are stacked on top of each other, its kinda hard to issue command, but the game is quite forgiving that, that occasional imperfection doesnt cause any frustration to me. The only thing i wished for a bit more substantial improvement is in the team setup page. Like somehow combining the armory and merchant page? I have to go back and forth between the 2 to check on the weapons stats. Maybe allow character selection in the merchant page (including those in reserve), display their current equipment (with clickable stats of course) and the merchant display on the side, then directly purchase and equip. That would save a substantial clicks going back and forth between armory, merchant and keep. And of course Game Center please
I have to admit that I took a couple hours to warm to the game. The presentation is top notch, the controls tight, but the difficulty curve is very steep while the upgrade curve is extremely shallow. However, I kept experimenting with party loadouts, eventually found one that worked for me and now I'm addicted. I would like to see those disparate curves brought a little more in line with each other, as it took a lot of grinding early on to really get a handle on the micromanagement necessary as well as increase my survivability. I admit that I'm only on the second page of levels so perhaps this is in the game already, but I would love to see some rare magic armor & weapon drops. A reason to get excited for loot beyond waiting for the next inevitable next rung in the stat increases every few maps. These items would confer small extra bonuses, and they could be drawn from the same bonuses that items provide (+5% critical, +10% gold, etc). I realize that the RPG elements are very light by design, but I think that this small additional random element repurposing mechanics already built into your game would make the entire merchant system much more enjoyable and increase replay exponentially. Finally, I'm sure this doesn't come up often, but I would love the ability to skip the tutorial or even pause it and back out to the menu. I accidentally started a new game by clicking on the wrong save slot and I had to play it all over again in order to just go back and pick the save slot I'd wanted in the first place.
There are rare items that cannot be bought from the merchant or upgraded to. They can only be achieved if you play Arena and get lucky.
It increases the defense and attack power of his target, making them more powerful based on the Bard's stats. At higher levels he can make a tank basically invincible. Edit: at least that's my guess
Does anyone know if items like Glove of the Thief stack? Maybe it would be too easy to grab up four of them?
Gah my game crashed for the 4th time on the second to last level in the game. I mean I finally got past the part where 2 red slimes gang up on you and basically 2 hit ko your guys and went almost to the very end... then my game crashed. I wasn't even clicking on the cleric, but on skills. I think my game probably crashed due to me pushing the skills on my mage too rough. (I was basically button mashing her healing attack, since she was low on health and the attack was almost charged.) And is it me or do the monsters in this second to last stage all of a sudden deal double their normal damage? I mean even the 3rd to last stage, the monsters dealt normal damage .
I'm not too sure. I've been using 2 exp eggs items on some of the guys I've been training, don't know if it stacks. I do know that items that go +10 +15% and so on to a stat like attack, defense, critical hit, and attack rate does stack.
I like the difficulty as it is. There was enough challenge in some fights so I had to try them few times, but no need to grind at all.
I am getting really mad soon. Another bug-ridden game. The game always crashes in the second fight. If they don't fix this asap, I'll refund that game. I am fed up playing the beta tester while having bought the game at full price. And crashing bugs like these shouldn't be in a release anymore. I do believe that they beta tested it for dozens and dozens of hours, still it is not my problem if they haven't found the bigger issues.
You mad? They stated, about 4 hours after release, that they were working on finding the issue. Just moments later, they said they had found the issue and was working on resolving it. I'm pretty confident that there will be a patch either today or tomorrow fixing the crashes. And we are talking about a rather small company here with limited funds, not a multi-million dollar franchise. 3 dollars will only take a game so far, and even though I'm sure the developer tested this game thoroughly, some bugs can slip through.
Yeah - I know they are trying to do a good job, so I didn't refunded it immediately and give them another chance. But after bunch of games like 100 Rogues, Space Farm and so on... you are really fed up with these bugs and crashes.
Sure, but is it fair to blame this developer for those games? Instead of bunching it up and then raging on Mika Mobile, you should go to each individual developer and complain. As for this game.. sure, it's a hick-up to release a game that is bugged and crashes, but at least they show interest and effort in finding and resolving the issue. It's fair to criticize them for an unfinished game, sure, but you should take into consideration that a patch is on it's way that will fix the issues.
How did you guys do the last boss? I did it with knight, mage, witch and bard at quite low level (like 22lvl each) on 3rd try, but interested if anyone has found any other good combinations for it
Game Impressions I finally got around to spending an hour or so with this, and really not sure what to make of it. What's there is definitely polished but...what is there? I see a battle system (that makes me feel like I am playing a super simplified mmorpg party all by myself.) Where is the rest of the game? One crash for me so far in about an hour of play. Selection of "stacked" characters in combat is an issue that needs to be addressed.
I have to admit I do wish there was more meat to the game, i think if you took whats here and made it a dungeon crawler or something rather than isolated battles it would be something really special. But even as it stands it's quite addictive and fun.
