polearm actually sounds pretty nice, and the range thing is smart. earlier tier weapons could be wooden staves whereas the highend items can be actual polearms.
pirate class if a pirate class were to be made i think it would be good if you used the obvious cutlass but the sword would be swung more side to side like pirates usually did when dueling, the boarding axe was basically used to board other pirate ships and could be one of the first specials available. another special could be the use of the flintlock pistol. stinkpots were basically used to confuse the enemy and they were pots filled with chemicals and set on fire which created a large cloud of smoke and foul spelling odor which could slow down the enemy possibly. the blunderbuss was a very early pirate age version of the shotgun and was filled with grapeshot which would do a high amount of damage and be very slow(all guns would require insertion of gunpowder first so would be slower than most speicals) the last special could be the gernado(basically pirate age hand gernade) could affect multiple enemies at once and would have high cooldown rate. The pirate would not have alot of armor much like the rogue but would not have the high critical damage or attack speed which the rogue possessed. let me know what you think of both my takes on new class ideas and possible specials or anything else
on pirate although i know most people would be expecting the pirate to have a hook i think it could really get in the way of using specials such as the blundebuss which would require two hands and the gernado which would need the fuse lit, i'll try to think of different specials as well and post them later
Quick Question Hey Mika just one random question! In Battleheart, is the ninja that destroyed Garrick's ship the same one from OMG Pirates? Also can you make a ninja boss?
Looking forward to playing this again. I originally got tired of it because you could always get a high score by leveling more. I think there should be an arena capped at level 30 so that there is a pure competition for scores.
This was kind of my idea; A Pirate character... that uses a Cutlass/Scimitar & a Flintlock Pistol. Basically he'd hold one in each hand. A cool feature would be if he had two regular attacks, in melee fights he'd automatically start using his cutlass/scimitar while in ranged engagements he'd use his pistol. The pistol would do just as much damage as the Cutlass. This makes him sort of an all-in-one character (hybrid), but then again, this makes him very powerful aswell, so his HP should be nerfed, and therefore he would function best in long range battles. ... His abilities could be... (examples, the levels/names/functions could be altered, I'm just providing you with a few suggestions ) Level 1: A basic Double Shot (fires two quick shots at a single target.) Level 5: Stink Bomb; (Throws a stink bomb at the closest enemy, decreasing it's armor but causes it to move much faster.) Level 5: Hamstring (Leg shot); (Fires a precision bullet at an enemies leg causing it to move very slowly but increases it's damage as it becomes full of rage. ) Level 10: Seagull Strike; Summons a couple of miniature seagulls (they should'nt be taking up the entire screen, so to speak) to attack the enemies for a short period. Level ???: Grenade; (Throws a grenade at the targeted enemy, exploding and inflicting tremendous amounts of damage to all enemies around it. Level 25: Concentrate; (Raises the Pirates overall damage by 50% for 10 seconds. 60 sec cooldown.) Idk, might be something you'd take into consideration...
Or a pure cap. I'm so with you on this since the cometition thing is serious. Plus, it's already less challenging with this tier 9 stuff.
An idea for a new class-Engineer Engineer Auto-throws rocks picked from the ground(very, very low power) Starter Spell- Build Catapult- he quickly assembles a mini catapult next to him with 1/10 the power of the party~the party's attack at the beginning of each battle~ (lasts 40 secs~when they break down~cd-30) (cannot be focused by enemy or ally at all)(catapult focuses enemy attacking the lowest health person)(have fixed attack speed until you unlock new spells below)(again only the engineer can affect them in any way at all)(have gray bar that goes down as the countdown)(other characters overlap them~so they don't get in the way of your view~)(even if engineer dies, they must complete their lifetime~continue fighting ^^) Lvl5 Random Boulder-Picks up a random boulder and throws it at the enemy, confusing them for 7 secs(30 secs) or Copycat-all catapults get a copy with half of it's original's attack power(die when original die cd-30) Lvl10(Passive) Mind Puppet-confusion from random boulder lasts 2x as long (dies anyway if you win the battle) or Extended Warranty-If catapult gets a killing blow, its life is lengthened by 20 secs Lvl15 Siege!-all catapults get a +25% attack power boost(cd-45 lasts until they break down) or Upgrade!-party and catapults get a +10% attack power boost(cd-45 lasts 15 secs) Lvl20(Passive) Dangerous Machines-Your catapults have a 5% chance to paralyze with each hit for 2 secs or Like Clockwork-catapults have a 15% attack speed boost(to their base) Lvl25(Passive) On Crack-Every 5 hits of a catapult give it a slight attack speed boost(+.3/sec) (base att speed is .5/sec, so + .4 every 5 hits over 40 secs=~2.6/sec...at it's height 'cept with Extended Warranty) (goes great with Like Clockwork and Extended Warranty) Lvl30(Passive) Overpowered-Your auto attack stones have a 15% chance to paralyze, poison, or confuse the victim)( paralyze-2 secs, poison and confuse-5 secs) (confuse means to fight for you) or Mirror Image-Copycat produces a perfect replica Timing of using of skills is important and knowing the relevant status of each catapult is too. Cooldown reduction is a good idea for him/her. It's not that good of a fleshed out idea. I basically had a sorcerer in mind with a pet. Engineer is very weak early but can be very useful due to some of his CC directed skills. If he were made he would be the hardest to use. He would build aggro in the same way ranged characters would. Some of his skills go hand in hand but his main form of help in a team are his catapults.
...And his weapon Armor=Leather Weapon T1- Wrench of Mediocrity "Used in menial tasks, the fake iron used to make it is covered in rust" T2-Screwdriver of Adequacy "There is a tag on it that says $2.99, perhaps a code?" T3-Hammer of Many Uses "This tool is sacred to murderers and builders alike" T4-Clamp of Disassembly "IM GONNA CLAMP YOU!!!!" T5-Saw of Precision "This provides a clean cut and fears no wood" T6-Drill of Assembly "IM GONNA DRILL YOU!!!!" T7-Knife of Foresight "It predicts the final shape of an object and moves itself flowingly" T8-Chisel of Intelligence "It is said that Michelangelo's spirit dwells in this" T9-Master Plan Theory Pencil "Its origin unknown, it transforms 2D into 3D"
It's approved! But something is being slow on Apple's side. http://twitter.com/#!/MikaMobile/status/96770374183829504
