At a minimum, there will definitely be a "monster arena" of some fashion that will offer progressively challenging, maybe borderline-impossible battles for max-level parties. I don't know if we'll get it in for v1.0, but I'd like to have gamecenter leaderboards for this. This game is about the combat, first and foremost. The goal is to make something that is just fun to pick up and slaughter some monsters for a bit, and that the RPG elements, different classes and leveling up is just icing. Hopefully the dozens of different power and class combinations will be incentive to replay the game with different strategies and see if you can perfect your party's destructive power.
Nice! Thank you so much for being very receptive to gaming fans. With that long list of playable characters, and potential unique characters to come, I am seriously hooked!!! Ya, a shapeshifter would be cool. I also like having unique art on the various weapons. You've got one instant buyer on the game's release right here. Can't wait!
yes yes yes yes yes!!! i love you mika mobile! this is an amazing idea to have a party combat game where you can control multiple people at once. on suggestion is to make your characters smaller so that there is more space for combat and enemies on the screen
Haha, yea there's no secret beta Jak I generally post new stuff to our twitter account first and it finds its way here shortly after.
More character classes sounds great! Adding to a good core of classes would be nice to diversify strategy and additional options. I cant wait to see what classes are implemented down the road(hope there are a lot too).
The Mikas have decided that a game of Battleheart's epic scope needs even more awesome music, so I'm working on additional scoring later this week, along with some more original SFX. When it drops, make sure to play it with your earbuds in.
that sir, is what you want us to believe. kay, so maybe i overreacted a little bit... but hey, i'm as excited as everyone here!
Upgrades. ok this is something i NEVER do but i want this game to be all it can be so im going to suggest things..i never do this so i feel kind of dirty. Obviously bosses. i havent read the entire thread yet but perhaps characters can upgrade from then specialize into something else? Fighter - brawler - Savage - Mongrel Savage uses skills from enemies | mongrel turns into a beast Knight - Paladin - Crusader Paladins use holy magic. crusader | Warrior Champion - Paragon a mix of defensive and offensive move Mercenary - Thief -- Bandit - Vagabond bandit steals items and gold off mobs | Vagabond ambushes and sets traps | archer -- Hunter - Ranger Hunter range dps tames animals | Ranger can melee or range. | can also convince mobs to join you | Soldier - Sharpshooter - Sniper Dynamic ranged dps. can hit all targets on screen and from max distance. adds flare to the group Caster - Mage -- Sorceror -- Wizard - offensive dps | | Banisher - Summoner -- Necromancer - evil magic and summoning | | Druid - Acolyte -- Priest Healing and protective magic. Specialized classes you can buy upgrades or Find characters Psionist - can mind control mobs or possess them i could go on for years.. but you get the idea. lemme know what you think. this gives omega replay value and if someone wants to continue leveling up as one class they dont have to promote. they just have the option too. but i like the finding tons of heroes and swapping party for that too.
I love games like this. A game which provides some quick and awesome gameplay but at the same time allows a lot of variety and what not in it. Plus the idea of lots of classes is really good cos its something I love in rpgs. Trying out different classes and class combos. It made replaying Dragon age awesome(r).
@starcat - there shall be bosses. As for classes, many of your ideas are represented in one form or another, though your characters don't technically promote from one class to another (where a character goes from being a wizard to a sorcerer etc.) Your characters will still grow substantially though as they accumulate powers and gear.
When characters change from class to class...can you see the changes cosmetically as well? @Starcat...I was thinking sort of the same class upgrade feature but where do you get a Druid eventually turning into a Priest?
