With multiplayer, you can easily overcome difficult levels with the help of your friends. :> How about our room name? XD Battle Heart 2 MultiPlayer (by NyancoSpace) https://forums.toucharcade.com/threads/battle-heart-2-lets-play-multiplayer-together-p.322272/
Hey guys, cleared wave 22 (i.e. got to 23) in the arena and wanted to let you know I was wrong about arena, its very good gold, xp, shards and skills if you can manage a deep run. My account was level 21 before the run I believe and I gained 2 or 3 levels, 2k gold and 21 or 22 talent books and also shards. Screen flashes so quick those aren't exact figures. My bard died around wave 15 but Shadow Knight and Necromancer both had the life leach talent, Shadow Knight had the share life leach talent and Necromancer's legendary armor added +regen. The weak link was eventually the Frost Mage, as the shared life leach was not sufficient to keep her up once stuff got crazy. The whole thing makes me wonder if heal-focused Bard should even be in there for deep runs, but Frost Mage doesn't have life leach talent available so would need to get it from gear or sub. Having hit level 24 from the run, the shop has an orange +7 Tempest Stone with +31% haste for 3,000 gold lolz
Anyone cleared the lvl 24 boss (think its the 4th)? Her health doesn't seem to go down, I guess there is healing, maybe the blue circle? Tried shutting it down with bard talent that gives 8 seconds of silence but it didn't make the circle go away and is every 60 seconds anyway. And she has a huge health pool and the spawns come fast. I think I just need to upgrade all weapons and add some dps trinkets in some slots.
Just writing to say that I think the game is great! I'm level 21 and have been using Rynn, Mint, November, and Roman. I've been using Mystery Eggs for extra skill points. Have fun everyone! One question: is there a Touch Arcade discord group for this game yet?
anyone know about the legendary chace? Is it better to buy them at higher levels or just buy one right away?
@marcsantos : There a two Discords by now, check upthread. @DavidDarko : My first group of the 2 Knights, Samurai, Warpriest took me 6h 43m to get my first Legendary Chest. However, as I experimented around a lot, I am sure this can be done a lot faster. I have a second game going on the side where I am going for an L.Chest as fast as I can. Might take the weekend, will report back when I'm there. I just hit level 19, at 7 hours playtime, and can breeze through lvl 20+ Stages. Seems to be a threshold: Now I am getting significantly better rewards. E.g. upper-limit for my level items started to drop as rewards from Item Stages. If you go straight for the L.Chest, let us know how long it took with what party, etc.
just opened one at party lvl 16. Received Crimson Regalia body armor for tanks (+250 Health/+56 Armor) *Edit I'm at 9hr 12m.. using Rynn, Mint, Cyrus, and November. Been switching off Mint and Costello. Costello is fun for normal runs. I can change DPS and heals when i want. Mint i'm using for harder levels and boss battles.
What's everyone's build composition so far? Curious to see what people are running! I'm currently using Rynn, Mint, Cyrus, and November. Using Rynn as my main tank. His ghost hand reminds me of death grip from wow XD. Mint is my heals of course. Cyrus is pretty interesting. His minions kind of act as a off tank sometimes and they do crazy damage if you put some good dps items on him. November i mainly put in for crowd control, but she can dish out a lot of single target damage.
I'm using the Bard instead of Mint...have to keep a closer eye on the tank but worry less about everyone else and the skill reset is nice. Seems like a pretty good build either way. Add some extra life steal or regen to Cyrus, the +75% skill and the skellies really last.
I actually started off with Bard as well, but as i was trying to push levels his burst heals wasn't strong enough to save a life. I still use him to farm older levels though. So fun!
I'm still sticking with my first four of Rynn (Shadow Knight), Kaimani (Pyromancer), Costello (Bard) and Mint (Cleric). There's been quite a difficulty spike after the second boss, which put the kibosh on my plans to swap out Mint for Natusko. I feel like I need each of my core four to succeed at the moment at the higher difficulty fights. Rynn is my main tank, who has points in Ghost Hand and Shadow Nova synergy to be able to deal effectively with swarms of small creatures and also pull pesky spell-casters from across the screen into the reach of his Nova. Kaimani I have split between single-target burst with Flame Lash and crowd control with Meteor, but mostly he's a panic button when things get messy. Meteor is a great spell. Costello is nice for an AOE heal, but his real power is in Inspire, which is incredibly useful to push through tough waves when you need to use multiple bursts of high powered skills. Mint is nice for her group heal skill, and also her armor skill, and to supplement Costello's heal with single-target heal support. I should probably invest in some more of her passives, as well, but if I had a flexible spot in the roster it'd likely be her. I think my next party of four (once I have some skill points stashed and some gold to gear them up) will be Natsuko (Samurai), Samuel (War Priest), Cyrus (Necromancer)/Odette (Bloodweaver), and Roman (Rogue)/Erik (Berserker). Still undecided on those last two, though. If I go Cyrus I'll likely use Roman for single-target DPS to clean up, but if I use Odette I'll likely need Erik's Whirlwind to supplement her single-target approach.
Getting very frustrated with the level 24 boss. He either heals or is immune to ice damage or something. I need tips!
Would be nice to have an option to speed up text speed. Super annoying waiting for this slow text speed.
Party composition so far: After a bit of testing folks out, I went with: Cedric - Tank & Damage, Rynn - Tank & Damage Dealer, Samurai - Tank & Damage, Warpriest - Tank, Damage, Healing. Yes, all 4 are quite tanky, thanks to the Titan Crown's. NOTE: Those are a great item. Not expensive, show up frequently, and available pretty much from the start. They do lack a bit in AoE damage, but up until the lvl 24 Boss I didn't need it. To keep them viable in the damage department, I focused on upgrading their weapons first. Followed by getting good items, where I mostly went with what I got as rewards; and only bought some select pieces like Vampire Tooth (which seems to be pretty rare, doesn't show up often for me). They need next to no micro-management. Just point them at enemies, cycle through skills, repeat. The Warpriest is in there because I noticed early on that I didn't need the big healing the Cleric provides. So I swapped her out for someone who does damage as well. But I didn't want to go without any healing, leaving the Warpriest as the obvious choice. Added bonus is that I don't need to pay attention on whom I'm healing currently, as he always heals the least healthy party member. Plus an AoE heal for emergencies and an AoE attack for some crowd control. When I tried the lvl 24 Boss on party-level 19, she and her mass of minions wiped the floor with me. Deciding I need some AoE, I settled on the Flamemage and started kitting him out for Meteor. Didn't buy any equipment for him yet, he still uses his base stuff. But, for grinding stages before the boss, I don't need the AoE yet. So I'll respec him into Flamelash, or - more likely - switch him out again to see how the Barbarian fares. I really like my all-melee low-maintenance party setup Rogue seems to be good in the single-target damage department, but I didn't like that he performs best when you micro-manage his skills, i.e. use the Throwing Knife on another opponent than the one you are currently attacking to make the most of the DoT. Necro looks as great as other people already stated. But, I don't like the mayhem three Skeletons cause on the screen, too chaotic for my preference for a relaxed playstyle. So, he's back to warming the bench again Bard is really good, in no small terms thanks to Inspiration. But again, that means micro-management - paying attention to skill cooldowns across the board. Too lazy for that, so off he goes again. @ArtNJ : Almost there with giving the lvl 24 Boss another try. I should have some feedback later today.
@ArtNJ : Level 24 Boss. She's just really tough, made even worse by the metric f-ton of hard-hitting and resilient minions (Slimes, anyone?). With my lvl 22 melee party (Samurai swapped for Barbarian), I took off 10-15% of her health and killed the whole first wave of minions pretty easily. Second wave all skills were on cooldown, only managed to kill maybe half before they did me in. Might need the Bard for his Inspiration skill, to do more burst damage. Have to think about that, best candidate for a swap with the Bard would be my main tank Cedric, funny enough. Warpriest I need for healing, Rynn for his shared Lifesteal, and Barb is just really good at dealing damage. Oh, and I really need to discipline myself in that fight: Keep calm, don't lose overview of what's going on, and - most importantly - focus down individual enemies.
