Just picked up this game a couple of days ago; can't believe what i've been missing!

Love how this game puts emphasis on teamplay and doesn't make it a spawn-camping fragfest instead. The fact that there are so many ways to earn points motivate you to stop wandering around looking for kills but instead to stick within your squad and work together towards advancing on the map.

I LOVE the squad-based respawn system; makes for some really fun matches where both teams are trying to capture a certain point on the map.

    10 on 10, what a blast!

Yes, this game is amazing. Much better than that of MW2 and the like. The only shooter I am looking forward too that may take the place of my BFBC2 time, is Halo: Reach, and I still doubt that it will be so good to keep me away from BFBC2 forever. lol love this game too much.

What system do you have it for? I have it on the PS3, add Booch138 to PSN if you want someone to play with.

Yah, the problem with it is that you don't really get addicted to it like you would Halo or Call of Duty. But that doesn't change the fact it's the better game :D Half the reason I still want MoH is because it comes with the Battlefield 3 beta!

Yeah 'cause that's not subjective  All Halo and MW2 did was make me crave something like BFBC2 so I could abandon them as soon as possible.

Excactly, MW2 is horribly bad. I don't know what Infinity Ward was thinking when they decided to implement all the horrendous map designs and OP weapons. Yeah, realism.

I play it on the PC - got a new system last week, so enjoying it all the more now with silky smooth FPS.

I do suck at the game though... 16 hours in, with a k/d ratio of 0.60

Trying to improve... trying to improve!!

F**k the K/D ratio. Pretend it doesn't exist. I'm disappointed in you for even knowing what your K/D is, it has nothing to do with skill in BFBC2.

Amen to that. Just cause you have died a lot doesn't mean you didn't do so protecting the objective or arming one. Or you could have been spending your time with defibs helping your team out. Like Midian said, pretend like it doesn't exsist.

I like the advice. Sort of takes the weight off your shoulders, oddly.

    Thanks

It just makes the game more fun that way. Where as in MW2 where if you don't have a K/D over 1.0 you are pretty much rediculed and called "teh lame noobz". I frankly could give a sh!t less. It feels like sucha chore. It's not like some game company is going to pick you up for playing well and hire you or some sh!t. lol I dont know.

Exactly. what i realized a few months ago was that NO ONE cares about your k.d except you. I always checked mine, but i never looked at anyone elses. so i just stopped caring and the game got so much more fun cuz i either screwed around or played to win.

    Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam

"As you may already know, Vietnam is an expansion pack to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with 4 brand new maps built in Frostbite, as well as Vietnam specific weapons, vehicles, persistence, unlocks, and achievements/trophies." - Battlefield Blog

I think this is going to be awesome. While I have enjoyed the steady release of unlocks of "Old Maps" in Rush (and the other modes), a new set of MP maps are sure to reignite the fire in my panties. Not to mention the new Vietnam based weaps. Can't wait!
