I think I'm going to take a break on trying to play this game until EA fixes all these issues people are having
I have been hammering this game for the last few days, squad deathmatch mode is AMAZING. I can't get enough of it. I haven't had any crashing issues, the server browser is horrible though.
Alright i decided I couldnt wait for ebay to ship it so I went ahead and got the limited edition at gamestop instead, and wow this game suprised me. Im an engineer right now and you can get points quite fast with them. Has anyone noticed that people arent really that vocal? unlike in Mwf2.
What platform are you playing it on? I play MW 2 on the 360 and BC 2 on the PC. Usually when I play MW 2 there's usually around 3-4 people talking in a 16 person match. In BC 2 I barely hear anyone speak because the voice chat is limited to each squad you join only.
Something about this game just looks childish. I mean I imagine its fun, but it seems out dated. In this video he bitches about camping and the terrible spawn system of mw2. He claims that camping is relatively non existent in bbc2, as he proceeds to remain in the same for location for the entire ten minutes. Then he later spawns directly behind his team member who is having a shoot out with the enemy and after his teammate is killed, he kills the enemy. Therefore respawning in position to kill an unaware enemy. I dont have the game, and I'm sure its fun, but I dont think its as cool as everyones first impressions probably are.
Been playing since the Beta. As an avid FPS player for 10+ years, I can honestly say bugs aside this has been the best FPS I have EVER played! I don't know what video your reffering to but it probably doesn't give you a good run down of how the game is "meant" to be played. This is an objective base game, something none of the MW2 players seem to know how to do. You can tell the MW players by the fact that they are more worried about Kill/Death ratio then actually accomplishing said mission. After the MW2 players get tired of BF and go back to Modern Failure 2 then bad company will be simply amazing. Also nothing about this game is "Dated" as you put it. I have played many games that tout We have destructible environments etc. etc, but THIS is the first game to truly have full blown destructible environments... It adds so much more to each round as the entire map is different by the end then when you started the match... I have held (me and my team the offense off for an entire round, from the start we were hiding in buildings, by the time the match was over, there literally was only 1 building left and about 12 guys fighting from a couple of craters... Truly the most epic video game experience I have ever had.
It truly is an epic concept. I'll definately look into trying it. Here's a question. If my Laptop can handle MW2, can it handle this game? I really dont know the spec of my computer or anything.
That made me want to go out and buy it right now. You camping? Fck you I'ma just blow your hiding spot up B****.
Why not just go to http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI/intro.aspx? It checks your specs and then matches it with the game's requirements.
This game is amazing, but if your team/squad has no idea what they're doing, the game quickly becomes frustrating. Played a game of Rush last night, and for some reason it was 7v11, and of course I was on the 7 team, defending. The other team was over running us, but on the bright side i got about 6 double/triple kills because apparently I was the only one who knew who to place anti-tank mines on the ground. But still, let's be real, BFBC2 kicks MW2's butt anyday that ends with Y.
Man this game is so much fun! I spotted a couple of snipers above me in my last match so I snuck up the rooftop and knifed them both from behind There was a third guy in the corner so I took him out with my automatic shotgun
Thanks kamazar for this thread. I finally picked up the game (and a PS3) coz I couldnt resist anymore. Had it not been for this thread, I had zero interest in getting a console (mainly coz the games cost way too much than what I felt I could pay for one). Only played a couple of hours of single player so far. There are some screen tearing issues(which I dont know if they have been fixed in a patch or something) but blowing things up is really fun
I just got a console too, and this was my first game. I think a HD cable would fix the tearing, if you want to spend your money on one. Mine cost £30.
Booch138 on PSN if anyone wants to play with me I get on random hours of the night thanks to my newborn lol... I mainly play Rush. I am no where near the best, but I know what I am doing and I am a squad player. effing hate when you are in a full squad and no one sticks with each other. Does get frustrating but meh. I have fun. This game no matter how you put it, blows MW2 out of the water. Focusing more on team play vs how many kills you can get for yourself. just my opinion.
