So this game rules. Played about 4 missions on single player. And have been on multiplayer for about 2 hours now. I'm really pleased with it so far. It "feels" like a true battlefield game while playing conquest. My pc frame rates also imroved since the beta.
Just got this on the pc and haven't really got a chance to play the MP yet but based on the 360 demo it's pretty fun. There's a heavy emphasis on playing your role in the team and blowing up buildings looks like it will never get old I know the SP isn't a reason to get the game and it's pretty forgettable to me. It looks like they focus too hard on creating tons of scripted action set piece sequences and it feels forced and bland to me.
i finally got it deliver to me today... but i only got to play a couple multiplayer games due to going to the Purdue game where they RAPED IU, but thats besides the point. From what i did play, I loved even more than the demo and i completely owned everyone with a UAV for about 15 minutes. I'll be playing on my roommates gamertag if anyone wants to play with me. GT: Jisner the gamertag I'll be using in a week when im back home is treehuggerflem
Did anyone see the Eurogamer PC/PS3 comparison video? Really impressive, the console versions are virtually indestingushable, PC gaming is indeed on the way out. ...MMOs aside of course, there will always be enough nerds around for those. Anyway my copy of BFBC2 should be here today (1 day early in the UK ) so fingers crossed.
From Eurogamers: "Obviously, being able to ramp up resolution, frame-rate, anti-aliasing and implementing cool effects like HBAO helps make the PC version a far more refined visual experience on computer: mouse and keyboard obviously helps too. " You fail, lol.
Yea your crazy dude, I'm running the game on med/high with 45 FPS, compared to the PS3 ver. Mine looks WAY better. PC on the way out?... Your crazy
Yeah, if you want to spend hundreds doing that. The fact remains that at the settings they ran the video at (which were decent) the differences were almost invisible. No huge advantage. Even without BFBC2 as an example of the obviously closing gap, PC gaming has been suffering for a long time. It's pretty much just Blizzard keeping it alive by now.
Midian, I normally agree with you on most points, but this one I can't... The numbers may be dwindling, but nothing beats gaming on a PC for me..
Fair enough. It was the dwindling numbers I was referring to. I've got no doubt about the pros of playing games on PC, it just seems that less and less people care about them as time goes on.
Actually if you think about it, it's the consoles that are more and more becoming like PC's... Using PC video chipsets, web browsers, heck even PS3 can run linux... So in reality imagine what a game "Console" will look like in 15 years... Proabably a lot like my deskptop...
Yeah, that's why I don't need a gaming PC Consoles are already seen as entertainment systems in general now since you can use them for music and video so PCs are once again being associated more with work than leisure for a lot of people... well, aside from forums and all that other internet stuff. All we need now is mouse support for consoles, to be honest I don't see why they only have one controller each, they should support loads of different input types to cater to everyone's preferences. ...maybe not keyboards though, I can't stand movement without pressure/tilt sensitivity (although I have a keyboard for PS3, just not for games).
not to change the subject or anything but whats everyones load out mine is Engineer Thompson SMG colt 1911 second teir rocket launcher (gustav) and vehical alt weapon odd thing is, is that I didn't preorder or pay for the limited addtion and I got the bonuses Gamestop FTW! or FTL depending on how you the look at it.
Yeah, I think they're just selling the limited edition until they run out, pre order or not. When I fix my connection (it was working on march 1st but decided to fail on the 2nd) I'll be an engineer using the M1 Garand until I get the XM8C.
Ok, made my mind. Not getting BC2, getting Just Cause 2. The demo is fantastic, and I need a change of pace from FPS.
Well, I just bough Operation Flashpoint now that BFBC2 has been released. It doesn't make sense, but for some reason playing the BFBC2 demo made me want to get op flash. I'll probably get Just Cause too because the demo is so fun.
